On November 14, the Department of Information and Communications of Ca Mau province issued a press release on the province's organization of the Ca Mau Marathon 2023 Cup Petrovietnam . Accordingly, the Ca Mau Marathon 2023 is expected to attract about 6,000 athletes participating in the distances of 42 km; 21 km; 10 km; 5 km and 1.2 km. The main race route will go through the U Minh Ha land to the U Minh Ha National Park. Thereby introducing and promoting the image of the U Minh Ha land with its pristine natural scenery and diverse products; at the same time contributing to promoting the image of the land and people of Ca Mau to domestic and foreign friends.
The 2022 Ca Mau Marathon attracted nearly 2,300 athletes to compete in distances of 42 km, 21 km, 10 km and 5 km.
According to the Organizing Committee, the award also aims to raise awareness and community responsibility to join hands in preserving the natural environment, especially in the context of complex climate change on a global scale, while protecting wildlife and biodiversity. Through the award, the Organizing Committee also hopes to contribute to promoting exchange relationships, so that investors, tourism experts, and travel companies can approach, survey, learn, and cooperate to develop tourism in Ca Mau.
