On November 14th, the Department of Information and Communications of Ca Mau province issued a press release regarding the province's organization of the Ca Mau Marathon 2023 Petrovietnam Cup. According to the release, the Ca Mau Marathon 2023 is expected to attract approximately 6,000 athletes participating in the 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 1.2 km distances. The main race route will pass through the U Minh Ha region to U Minh Ha National Park. This will showcase and promote the image of the U Minh Ha region with its pristine natural landscapes and diverse products, while also contributing to promoting the image of Ca Mau's land and people to friends both domestically and internationally.
The Ca Mau Marathon 2022 attracted nearly 2,300 athletes competing in the 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km distances.
According to the organizers, the event also aims to raise awareness and community responsibility in preserving the natural environment, especially in the context of complex global climate change, while protecting wildlife and biodiversity. Through the event, the organizers also hope to contribute to promoting exchanges, allowing investors, tourism experts, and travel companies to access, survey, learn about, and cooperate in developing tourism in Ca Mau.
