(Baoquangngai.vn) - On the afternoon of May 7, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien had a working session with VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited to listen to the report and resolve the company's recommendations related to the project of Investment, Construction and Business of Infrastructure of VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park.
Attending the meeting were representatives of relevant departments, branches, localities and representatives of VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited.
The VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project was approved in principle in Decision No. 1664/QD-TTg dated December 22, 2023, with a scale of nearly 498 hectares. The project has a total investment capital of more than VND 3,737 billion, with an operating period of 50 years. It is expected to start construction in October 2025.
At the meeting, representatives of VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited reported on the project implementation plan and progress; at the same time, presented some difficulties and results in the coordination and resolution of issues related to the project with departments, branches and localities in the past time. The company also proposed to complete site clearance with the following progress: 138.97 hectares in 2024; 127.15 hectares in 2025; more than 124 hectares in 2026 and more than 107 hectares in 2027. Of which, there are nearly 17 hectares of residential land, and it is expected that about 530 resettlement plots will be needed.

At the meeting, VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited proposed to soon arrange resettlement for households on 8 plots of land on the frontage of National Highway 1 affecting the connection point between VSIP II Industrial Park road and National Highway 1, expected to be the main gate area of VSIP II Industrial Park; soon complete the resettlement area to arrange resettlement; have solutions for people to stop burial at existing cemeteries in the project area...
Representatives of Dung Quat Economic Zone Management Board and provincial industrial parks, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Construction and leaders of Binh Son District People's Committee discussed and clarified a number of issues related to resettlement land arrangement, compensation progress, site clearance, overlapping investment policies of irrigation canals within the project boundary... At the same time, it was recommended that the province pay attention and direct coordination to resolve arising problems so that the project can be implemented smoothly and quickly.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien highly appreciated the contributions of VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited to the socio -economic development of the province in recent times; at the same time, requested departments, branches and localities to create favorable conditions for the investor to implement the project on schedule.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien assigned specific tasks to departments, branches, sectors and localities to resolve the recommendations and problems of investors. In particular, the Department of Transport was requested to actively support the connection of the VSIP II Industrial Park axis with National Highway 1. In the resettlement work, it is necessary to ensure essential infrastructure, creating conditions for people to stabilize their lives. Local authorities need to have propaganda solutions so that people do not bury the newly deceased in cemeteries located in the project area. Relevant units are required to speed up the work of collecting opinions, appraising and approving the 1/500 detailed planning project of VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park project.
