On the morning of May 10, some Facebook users were surprised when a new interface appeared that displayed posts in a grid format similar to a photo album, instead of displaying them in a list. The new interface was considered outdated, making posts look confusing and unsightly. What was even more annoying was that this change was not announced in advance.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Trang (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) commented that Facebook's grid interface is similar to Instagram's, looks like a draft, is not synchronized and is very difficult to view content. "At first, I thought my phone was faulty, but when I scrolled through Facebook news, I saw that many people were experiencing the same problem," Ms. Trang said.
According to Mr. Tran Van Loi (Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City), this type of display is very ugly, making everything messy and unprofessional.
By the afternoon of the same day, the Facebook interface suddenly returned to normal, but Meta did not give any announcement or explanation, making users wonder if this was a system error like the previous times?
Some people said that the Facebook interface did not have any errors or changes, suggesting that this only happened to a portion of users.
A user shared that the article display interface was faulty on the morning of May 10.
Regarding Facebook errors, at the end of February 2024, many users said that when accessing this social network using a web browser on their computer, they were surprised to receive the message: "Sorry, an error occurred. We are trying to fix it as soon as possible". This error somewhat affected users' work. However, Facebook has yet to explain the cause of the problem.
Previously, many online sellers reported that the Messenger messaging application of Meta - Facebook's parent company - had errors in sending messages, sometimes losing old messages, and even hiding messages. It took more than an hour for messages to be sent normally, then customers left.
Not to mention, Facebook users sometimes experience a situation where their accounts are suddenly logged out. When they log back in, they find that they have made friends with dozens of strangers, making them very confused and worried that their sales accounts have been hacked.
In mid-December 2024, Facebook was inaccessible.
The platform has also faced multiple global outages, affecting millions of users.
