Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son province will organize the Ethnic Culture Festival for ethnic boarding schools in Lang Son province for the 2024-2025 school year.

The 2024-2025 school year marks the first time the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son province has organized the "Ethnic Culture Festival for Students of Ethnic Boarding Schools" with the aim of educating students about preserving and promoting traditional ethnic cultural values ​​in schools, while also spreading the positive cultural values ​​of the ethnic groups in Lang Son.

In addition, the activity also aims to contribute to improving the management capacity of school leaders and fostering the capacity of teachers in providing comprehensive education for students in ethnic boarding schools, especially in the areas of cultural traditions, ethics, and life skills.

Simultaneously, the plan aims to enhance the awareness of administrators, teachers, and students regarding the preservation and promotion of the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic groups through specific actions and activities; strengthen exchanges and learning experiences among ethnic boarding schools in Lang Son province and between ethnic boarding schools and junior high schools in the city; create a healthy, beneficial, and cohesive environment for junior high school students from ethnic boarding schools; and strengthen coordination between schools, families, and society in the education of junior high school boarding students.

With the overarching theme of "Traditional Culture Education for Boarding Students," many rich and engaging activities were organized, such as dramatizing traditional festivals, showcasing ethnic costumes, a cultural race, and experiencing the "Wall of Cultural Memories." Each activity demonstrated creativity and dynamism, while simultaneously fostering national pride and a spirit of unity among the students.

Through this, the Organizing Committee expresses its desire to convey an important message to teachers and students: In the new era, the era of national progress, national culture is the source of identity and the intrinsic strength that enables Vietnam to integrate firmly and develop sustainably.

Reportedly, the event was attended by 157 teachers and 409 students from 10 participating teams from districts across the province, and one team of junior high school students from the city participating in an exchange and experiential learning program.

After two days of activities, the Organizing Committee of the Festival awarded 38 prizes to participating teams in various competition categories and overall team prizes. In the competition categories, there were 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 9 third prizes, and 12 consolation prizes for outstanding teams in the "Traditional Ethnic Costume Performance," "Stage Performance of Local Festivals," and "Cultural Race" events.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also honored and awarded prizes to the 10 most outstanding students in the competition on knowledge of culture, history, and geography of Lang Son province; and selected 5 Education and Training Departments with the most rich and impressive "Cultural Memory Wall" experience.

For the overall team awards, the Organizing Committee presented 8 prizes, with the Department of Education and Training of Loc Binh District winning first place overall.
