The manufacturer has equipped the product with a number of improvements such as better battery life, energy saving mode, lost mode for pet owners and a new pet walking mode. The device will work in parallel with the upgraded SmartThings app.
Users can now track SmartTags through an augmented reality view on their phone, re-sync their Tags to a new Galaxy phone, and check if they have been tracked by unauthorized SmartTags.
Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 will be available globally on October 11 for $29.99 (about 733,000) and two color options: black and white.
