Despite impressive occupancy rates in many industrial parks, site clearance progress remains the biggest "bottleneck" hindering the wave of investment in Yen Bai. Efforts to remove these obstacles by the government are expected to create a breakthrough in the near future.

>> Yen Bai completes infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters
According to the report of the Yen Bai Industrial Park Management Board, by the end of the first quarter of 2025, the whole province had 96 investment projects in industrial parks, with a total capital of more than 16,612 billion VND.
The occupancy rate in many areas such as: Southern Industrial Park (100% in area B+C), Minh Quan Industrial Park (91.16%) is a bright spot in attracting investment. However, there are still 36 projects behind schedule due to the biggest problem being site clearance.
Currently, the province is simultaneously implementing compensation and resettlement support (BTHT&TDC) for 29 projects and works (including 22 production and business investment projects and 7 budget capital projects), with a total recovered land area of up to 208.47 hectares. Although 838 households have been inventoried, only 353 households have had their compensation plans approved (of which: 305 households belong to projects of investors and 48 households belong to projects using budget capital).
The problem lies in the fact that compensation councils must focus on many key projects at the same time. Meanwhile, some cases have existed for a long time, and problems with compensation prices and land origin verification have not been thoroughly resolved. A typical example is at the Au Lau resettlement project, where a household, despite receiving resettlement land, still did not accept the price determined by the tax authority, causing the progress of 30m of the first axis road to stagnate.
Clearing the "bottleneck" of land is an urgent requirement if Yen Bai wants to welcome a stronger wave of investment. The province is resolutely implementing measures to support and accompany investors to create a more transparent, open and attractive investment environment than ever before.
