Proud of our history, grateful to our ancestors.

Turning the pages of our nation's glorious history, 80 years ago, on August 19, 1945, the August Revolution succeeded, liberating the country from nearly 100 years of oppression and exploitation by French colonialism and completely abolishing the feudal regime. On September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi , President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

The youth of Ca Mau pay tribute to the heroic martyrs and cultivate love for their homeland and country.

The victory of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam shattered the tyrannical rule of colonialism and fascism, ending the existence of the outdated feudal regime; establishing a democratic republic, opening a new era in the nation's history - an era of independence, freedom, and the working people becoming masters of their own country. The birth of the People's Democratic State in Vietnam was a tremendous leap forward, a great social transformation not only in the history of the Vietnamese nation but also in the history of the national liberation struggle of oppressed nations against colonialism and imperialism around the world .

For young people, born and raised in a time of peace and integration, watching documentary films and listening to stories about the historic August days, the sacred moment when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, evokes a surge of pride in everyone's heart.

Ms. Truong Kieu Diem, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ly Van Lam Ward, shared: "The great historical milestone of the August Revolution is the culmination of the extraordinary strength of millions of people, regardless of class, united by a common will to rise up and win independence and freedom. That victory not only signifies national liberation, but also serves as proof of the solidarity and indomitable will of the Vietnamese people."

Sharing similar sentiments, Ms. Do Hong Lam, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hamlet 5, Tri Phai Commune, shared: “I understand that today's independence and freedom are the result of the immense sacrifices of generations of our ancestors. These were not only struggles on the battlefield, but also silent contributions, the sweat and tears of countless Vietnamese people.”
