According to statistics from commercial banks today, the highest online interest rate for a 6-month term is 5.65%/year. This interest rate is listed by Global Petroleum Bank (GPBank) and Vikki Digital Bank (Vikki Bank). Both are banks that have been forced to transfer in early January 2025.
The third and fourth positions also belong to two mandatory transfer banks. They are the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam Digital Technology (VCBNeo) and the Vietnam Modern Bank (MBV).
Accordingly, the 6-month deposit interest rates at these two banks are 5.6%/year and 5.5%/year, respectively.
Except for GPBank, the remaining 3 banks are also leading the market in terms of bank interest rates with terms of less than 6 months. Vikki Bank even leads the market in terms of bank interest rates with terms of 13 months or more with a listed interest rate of 6%/year.
Returning to the 6-month term deposit interest rate, after the group of 4 banks with mandatory transfer, the banks listed with the highest deposit interest rates are: BaoViet Bank (5.45%/year), VietBank (5.4%/year), NCB (5.35%/year), ABBank (5.3%/year), HDBank (5.3%/year), Bac A Bank (5.25%/year), BVBank (5.15%/year) and Techcombank (5.15%/year).
Kienlongbank, LPBank and Viet A Bank all listed savings interest rates of 5.1%/year for a 6-month term.
For the same period, online savings interest rates at 3 banks MSB, OCB and PGBank are 5%/year.
The remaining banks all listed interest rates below 5%/year for 6-month deposits.
In which, the lowest mobilization interest rate for this term is 2.9%/year listed by SCB and Vietcombank.
BIDV and VietinBank listed deposit interest rates at 3.3%/year, while Agribank listed interest rates at 3.7%/year for this term.
Today, August 22, interest rates at banks remain unchanged.
