Yesterday, July 5, Ha Tinh Club held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Cong Manh (43 years old, from Nghe An ) as head coach of the team.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Manh becomes the new head coach of Ha Tinh team.

Previously, after the 2024-2025 season ended, coach Nguyen Thanh Cong resigned due to poor health. The Ha Tinh Club's leadership negotiated to sign a contract with Mr. Nguyen Cong Manh as the new head coach.

Nguyen Cong Manh grew up from the SLNA youth training center, in the same generation as Duong Hong Son, Phan Thanh Hoan, Chu Ngoc Canh... With his strong position as an attacking midfielder, during his playing days he and his teammates won many titles in youth tournaments such as: U.16 championship in 1998, 3 times crowned king at the U.21 tournament (in 2000, 2001, 2002).

During his time playing for SLNA (twice), Hoa Phat Ha Noi (twice) and Binh Dinh, Nguyen Cong Manh achieved many more achievements in his career, the most memorable of which was the 2011 V-League championship with SLNA.

After finishing his playing career, he moved into coaching, starting as an assistant at Ha Tinh Club in 2019 under head coach Pham Minh Duc. In 2021, after Mr. Duc left the Hong Mountain team, Mr. Manh continued to work as an assistant to the team's new head coach, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong.

After the 2023 season, Mr. Manh will leave the team to attend a professional coaching course (PRO License).

Before returning to Ha Tinh team, he also worked as an assistant to coach Hoang Anh Tuan at U.23 Vietnam and as head coach of Binh Duong club but did not leave much of an impression.

Coach Nguyen Cong Manh faces many challenges when leading the Ha Tinh team this time. Last season, his predecessor helped the team finish 5th in the V-League 2024 - 2025 with 36 points, setting a record of 15 draws.

At the same time, before the new season started, many key players left the team such as: Luong Xuan Truong, Dang Van Tram, Lam Anh Quang, Tran Dinh Tien, Nguyen Van Nhuan and Vu Viet Trieu. The loss of experienced players forced the new head coach of Ha Tinh team to recalculate the team's personnel building strategy.
