Hanoi finalizes 2024 Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a document announcing the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday schedule forthe education and training sector.

Accordingly, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the capital's education sector will have 7 days off for Lunar New Year, from February 8 to February 14 (from December 29 to January 5).

For Hanoi students from kindergarten, primary school, junior high school to high school, vocational education and continuing education centers, the Lunar New Year holiday lasts 8 days, from February 7 to February 14 (from December 28 to January 5 of the lunar calendar).

According to Hanoi's 2023-2024 school year plan, holidays and Tet are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Law and annual guidelines.

Previously, many provinces and cities announced the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday schedule for preschool and primary school students.

In Son La , the time of holidays, Tet and other holidays (mid-semester break, end-of-semester break, seasonal break, Tet holiday of ethnic minorities, traditional local festival holidays) is implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and guiding documents of competent management agencies.

For Yen Bai students, the Lunar New Year holiday 2024 will be 14 days, from February 5, 2024 to February 18, 2024.

Bac Ninh students will have Lunar New Year holiday from February 7, 2024 to February 18, 2024.

Da Nang students have Tet holiday according to the provisions of the Labor Law. For the Lunar New Year 2024, civil servants, public employees, and employees in the education and training sector will have 7 days off: from Thursday, February 8, 2024 (December 29, Quy Mao year) to Wednesday, February 14, 2024 (January 5, Giap Thin year).

Preschool children, students, and trainees will have 10 days off, from Monday, February 5, 2024 (December 26, year of the Cat) to Wednesday, February 14, 2024 (January 5, year of the Dragon).

Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students in Quang Ninh province is from February 5, 2024 to February 17, 2024.

For Ha Tinh students, holidays during the school year are implemented according to current regulations.

The Lunar New Year holiday schedule for 2024 is as follows: For officials, civil servants and public employees: follow the provisions of the Labor Law and guiding documents of the Ministry of Education and Training, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee. For students: school break starts from February 6, 2024 to February 18, 2024.

Can Tho students will have Lunar New Year holiday from February 5, 2024 to February 14, 2024. Khmer students and teachers will have Chol Chnam Thmay traditional New Year holiday (separate notice will be given).

The Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province has just announced that managers, teachers, staff, and students of preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, and high schools will have the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday from February 5 to February 17, 2024.

Managers, teachers, staff and students of educational institutions will have a total of 13 days off for the 2024 Lunar New Year.

For officials and civil servants of the Department of Education and Training, the Lunar New Year holiday will be from February 8 to 14. Officials, civil servants and public employees of the Education and Training sector will have 7 days off, including 5 days off for Tet and 2 days off every week.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau province allows students of all levels and majors to have Lunar New Year holiday from February 5, 2024 to February 18, 2024.

The 2024 Lunar New Year holiday for Long An students will last 11 days, from February 4 to February 14, 2024.

Provinces with holidays from February 5 to February 17, 2024 include: Tra Vinh.

Dak Nong students will be off from February 7 to February 18, 2024 (from December 28, Quy Mao year to January 9, Giap Thin year).

Lunar New Year 2024 holiday schedule for Kon Tum students from February 5, 2024 to February 17, 2024.

Gia Lai students will have Lunar New Year holiday from February 5, 2024 to February 18, 2024.

According to the 2023-2024 school year schedule framework of the Ministry of Education and Training for preschool education, general education and continuing education applied nationwide, students will finish semester I before January 15, 2024, complete the second semester education plan before May 25, 2024 and end the school year before May 31, 2024.

Holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines.
