"Hanoi Concert - New Year Concert 2025" of Hanoi Radio and Television

The program "Hanoi Concert - New Year Concert 2025" will open a series of special music events of Hanoi Radio and Television in 2025. The program will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on the evening of January 1, 2025 with the participation of talented artists.

Many famous artists participated in the performance at " Hanoi Concert - New Year Concert 2025".

“Hanoi Concert-New Year Concert 2025” is organized from the inspiration of “The Vienna New Year's Concert” of Austria - one of the world famous classical concert programs. The program opens the new year at the Hanoi Opera House, including the most classic music pieces in the world .

The program is broadcast live on Hanoi TV channel 1, radio via FM96 and online on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Hanoi ON application of Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will perform in the program.

“Hanoi Concert - New Year Concert 2025” has become an indispensable annual mark for classical music lovers in the capital every New Year. For the audience, the program is always expected to be the most classic music event of the year. Renowned Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji will conduct the show.

Under the baton of conductor Honna Tetsuji, who has spent many years working and contributing to Vietnam's symphonic music, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and talented artists such as People's Artist violinist Bui Cong Duy, leading opera singer Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, tenor Tuan Anh and soprano Bao Yen promise to create unforgettable musical moments.

The audience was immersed in the soulful violin melodies of People's Artist Bui Cong Duy.

The audience will enjoy musical pieces such as: "Nguoi Ha Noi" with familiar and profound melodies by Nguyen Dinh Thi performed by Tenor Tuan Anh and the instrumental piece with cheerful, bustling and joyful melody "Chuc Mung New Year" by musician Do Kien Cuong.

Along with that is the famous, romantic, melancholy and passionate piece “Ladies in Lavender” by British composer Nigel Hess, especially the most famous waltz “Waltz of the Flowers” by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, taken from the ballet “The Nutcracker” with the harmony between string and wood instruments, creating a soaring, splendid and magnificent musical space…

Soprano Bao Yen will bring many emotions through famous opera excerpts.

The highlight of the concert was the work "Cinema Paradiso" by the famous Italian composer Ennio Morricone. This was his composition for the film of the same name directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, released in 1988. The combination of Bui Cong Duy's emotional violin and Pham Khanh Ngoc's charming soprano voice will leave an unforgettable emotional mark on the listeners' hearts.

Besides the above classical works, the music night was also impressive with heroic, exciting symphonies that radiated a lot of energy such as: "Festival Overture" by Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich, "Chapter IV of Symphony No. 5" by genius musician Ludwig van Beethoven - expressing strength, determination and desire to conquer and win.

Next to it is the piece “Quel guardo il cavaliere” - a highlight from the opera “Don Pasquale” - cheerful, graceful, humorous by Italian opera composer Gaetano Donizetti and the “Overture” from the opera “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” by Richard Wagner, one of the most classic operas. Finally, the piece “Una voce poco fa” from the opera “The Barber of Seville” by Italian composer Gioachino Rossini as a good wish for a new year 2025 full of vitality and prosperity.

Among them, two pieces by Dmitri Shostakovich and Richard Wagner are considered very difficult and challenging for the orchestra, and are rarely performed in Vietnam.

Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc will perform the opera "Cinema Paradiso" by famous composer Ennio Morricone with People's Artist violinist Bui Cong Duy and the orchestra.
