Hanoi announces several new tourist destinations in the city.

On the evening of January 30th, at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space (Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi ), the Hanoi Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Tay Ho Ward People's Committee, organized the program "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2026 – Get on Hanoi" with the theme "Green Tourism Journey".

Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said that in 2025, tourism will shift from recovery to strong growth, creating a solid foundation for 2026 – the first year of implementing the goals in the new era of the nation. In the coming time, Hanoi tourism will focus on developing in a green, circular, and sustainable direction, strengthening regional linkages, international cooperation, digital transformation, and placing the experience and satisfaction of tourists at the center. Hanoi strives to attract over 35.8 million tourists in 2026, with total revenue from tourism reaching over 160 trillion VND, and tourism making a positive contribution to the capital's double-digit economic growth. The "green tourism journey" that Hanoi tourism is aiming for is also a journey of responsibility – responsibility to our ancestral heritage, to the living environment today, and to future generations.

The highlight of the program was the Opening Ceremony and the activation of Get on Hanoi 2026, which included the announcement of over 80 typical Hanoi tourism products for 2026 and the awarding of decisions recognizing three new tourist destinations in the city: Hanoi Botanical Garden, Thiet Ung Fine Arts Woodworking Village, and Thuy Lam Tourist Area. The recognition of these new destinations contributes to expanding Hanoi's tourism map and reflects the city's consistent approach to tourism development linked to heritage preservation, environmental protection, and improving the quality of life for its people.

At the opening ceremony, residents and tourists enjoyed a special artistic program that seamlessly connected the past, present, and future of the capital city through three chapters. Chapter I, "Hanoi – Where the Nation Meets," took the audience back to the historical depth and cultural values of the capital. Chapter II, "The City of Colors," depicted a romantic, dynamic, creative, and vibrant contemporary Hanoi, while also celebrating newly launched tourism products. Chapter III, "A Green Journey," conveyed the message of developing green, responsible tourism towards a sustainable future.

The Get on Hanoi 2026 program is designed as a comprehensive tourism experience ecosystem, harmoniously connecting space, people, culture, and creativity. Activities take place over three days, showcasing new tourism trends in the capital city, from ecotourism, craft village tourism, cultural and heritage tourism to innovative tourism products, community tourism, and green tourism linked to social responsibility. Many experiential programs are presented, such as: “Memories of the Flagpole” and the 3D Mapping performance “Thang Long Imperial City” at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; the “Hanoi Beautiful Sound” night cycling program; “Hanoi – Touching the Realm of Memories” around the Truc Bach area; craft village tourism routes along the “South Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Route”; the “Path of Learning” experience at Ha Mo tourist site, O Dien commune; “The Colors of Tuong Phieu Flowers” in Phuc Tho commune; and green tourism in Da Phuc…

As part of the series of events, on February 1st, the "Gia Lai Tourism Festival in Hanoi" will introduce tourism in Gia Lai province and the National Tourism Year – Gia Lai 2026, with a space showcasing tourism, cuisine, specialties, traditional handicraft demonstrations, ethnic musical instruments and Central Highlands gongs; an exhibition of 100 beautiful photos of Gia Lai tourism, along with traditional art performances combining Binh Dinh martial arts, gongs and traditional folk singing.
