At the conference, the Department of Tourism announced a list of a series of new tourism products that will be launched from now until the end of the year. Notably, there will be a group of 20 night tourism products, such as the "Tran Vu Bell" program at Quan Thanh Temple, a spiritual and cultural space that is recreated at night, promising to become a new destination for international and domestic visitors.
According to Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, this year's tourism stimulus program will maximize the advantages of transportation to create a connecting tourism corridor. A series of river tourism routes such as the Red River and Duong River have been planned to connect Hanoi with Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Bac Ninh, and Hai Duong. Regarding railways, Hanoi will put into operation high-quality night trains: Sjourney Train, Hoa Phuong Do (Hanoi - Hai Phong culinary tour), "Nam Cua O" train departing from August 19, 2025.
Regarding aviation, the Department of Tourism has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Vietnam Airlines for the period 2025 - 2030 to coordinate promotion, open new international routes and communicate on flights.
According to Mr. Hieu, Hanoi tourism space is no longer limited to the inner city, the Department is expanding the experience route to suburban districts such as Ba Vi, My Duc, Soc Son and further connecting the capital region. That is the way for tourists to Hanoi to stay longer and spend more.
In addition to products and communications, the representative of the Department of Tourism also emphasized the role of new institutions and planning in creating momentum for the development of tourism in the capital. The implementation of the Law on the Capital (amended) is opening up great space for Hanoi to form unique cultural and tourist spaces such as cultural and commercial centers, creative centers, nightlife areas, and expanded walking routes.
The two routes "South Thang Long Heritage Road" and "Education Road" expected to launch in August 2025 will take visitors through a series of relics, pagodas, ancient villages associated with the educational and cultural history of Thang Long - Hanoi, which is "a combination of heritage depth with modern experiences", a different direction that Hanoi is taking.
In addition, creative spaces such as "Truc Bach Subsidized Street - Tram Car No. 6 - Leng keng di huong" or experiencing the Dao people's traditional medicine village in Mien village (Ba Vi) are also being deployed with the expectation of creating "check-in points with Hanoi's identity".
Along with that, many large-scale projects expected to be completed in 2025-2026 will also contribute to changing the face of Hanoi tourism. Typical examples include the National Exhibition Center, Kim Quy Park (Dong Anh), Soc Son horse racing track, projects to renovate the space of Hoan Kiem Lake and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and a chain of new luxury hotels coming into operation...
At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Tourism Promotion Information Center (Department of Tourism) said that in 2025, Hanoi will promote promotion through a series of festivals and highlight events with high experiential value, to increase attraction to domestic and international tourists.
Notable among them is the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025 with the theme "Experience Hanoi 2025", held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, gathering many activities to introduce tourism products, craft villages, cuisine and survey new tour routes. The event also has a discussion on developing Halal tourism, a potential market that Hanoi is focusing on exploiting.
The Hanoi Beverage Festival 2025 will take place from August 29 to September 2 at Thong Nhat Park, right on the peak of National Day. The event will offer a space to enjoy typical drinks such as egg coffee, lotus tea, traditional tea, along with performances by professional bartenders, contributing to promoting the culinary and beverage quintessence of the capital.
The 3rd Hanoi Autumn Festival, scheduled from October 3-5 at Tran Nhan Tong walking street, Thong Nhat park and other prominent destinations, will honor Hanoi's autumn, the most beautiful time of the year, through street art performances, autumn cuisine, photo tours and heritage space experiences.
In November, Hanoi continued to organize the Ao Dai Tourism Festival at Son Tay Ancient Citadel and the Culinary Festival - Craft Village Tourism at Trinh Cong Son walking street, with performances, parades, displays and tour introductions related to craft villages, agriculture, and ecology - groups of sustainable tourism products that Hanoi is strongly developing.
In parallel with the series of activities in Hanoi, the city will also participate in major domestic promotional events such as the ITE Ho Chi Minh City Fair, Da Lat Golden Tourism Week, Thanh Tuyen Festival... to spread the capital's destination brand to the domestic market.
In the international market, Hanoi will be present at major events such as Osaka Expo (Japan), ITB India (Mumbai) and IFTM Top Resa (Paris) to promote destinations, connect businesses and expand the international tourist market.
