Hanoi opens Hanoi Night Tourism Promotion Program 2024

Kinhtedothi-On the evening of November 29, at the space of the Pearl Island Night Food Street - Ngu Xa (Ba Dinh), the Hanoi Department of Tourism and the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District opened the program to promote Hanoi night tourism 2024. Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son attended and pressed the opening button.


According to the Organizing Committee, the entire event space will be set up like a film studio with the backdrop of a neighborhood bearing the marks of the subsidy period, tram cars, department stores... helping visitors return to the memories of one of the special periods of the country.

In addition, visitors also have the opportunity to experience cultural spaces including: visiting some places such as Thuy Trung Tien Temple, Truc Bach Lake, Ngu Xa Pearl Island... Check-in, take photos in the areas decorated with resonance, connecting points in the street area. Participate in workshops with the theme of decorating subsidy stamps, puzzle games, costume rental, taking photos according to the theme...

The highlight of the program is the experience tour of Metro Line 6 - "Hanoi Street Museum". Here, visitors can interact with the community on different topics on 04 cars of Metro Line 6.

Each train car will carry a typical culinary theme of Hanoi and Vietnam such as: rice - paddy - rice, pho - vermicelli - noodles, kitchen - cupboard - tray... The cars will form trains carrying heritage, "mini museums" of culture and cuisine. In addition, there will be activities to visit, learn and experience wood-roasted coffee; make coffee scented bags, miniature food models, clay figurines... throughout the days of the event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang stated that implementing the Project on developing the night-time economy in Vietnam according to Decision No. 1129/QD-TTg dated July 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister; In 2023, Hanoi tourism industry announced 20 night tourism products, thereby promoting the advantages of Hanoi night tourism services and products.

In addition, Hanoi night tourism is diverse, unique, sustainable, has high quality and added value, thereby creating opportunities to strengthen connections, promote products, build tours to promote the development of night tourism products of the capital, contributing to increasing the experience for domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Hanoi.

“Through this event, the Department of Tourism believes that it will bring to the people and tourists a very new travel experience in Hanoi with sacred historical relics and nostalgic experiences typical of old Hanoi. Thereby contributing to spreading the image of Hanoi more and more and becoming a top destination for domestic and international tourists,” Ms. Giang affirmed.

Information from the Hanoi Department of Tourism shows that in the first 10 months of 2024, the capital's tourism industry welcomed 23.11 million visitors, an increase of 11.2% over the same period in 2023, of which international tourists reached 4.95 million, an increase of 35.8% over the same period in 2023, domestic tourists reached 18.16 million, an increase of 5.9% over the same period in 2023. Due to the high number of visitors, the tourism industry earned VND 90,065 billion, an increase of 17.2% over the same period in 2023.
