Kinhtedothi - In implementing Resolution No. 47/2024/NQ-HĐND of the Hanoi City People's Council stipulating the implementation of Low Emission Zones in the Capital, the City's Traffic Safety Committee encourages people to actively switch to using green vehicles, limit the use of private vehicles, and contribute to environmental protection.


The document from the Hanoi Traffic Safety Committee clearly states that environmental protection in the capital city has always been a top priority, receiving special attention and guidance from the Central Government and the city's leadership. This is reflected in many important documents from the Central Government and the city, and has been implemented vigorously in recent times.

Currently, environmental protection in the new context, especially in the field of urban transportation, continues to present many complex, challenging, and urgent problems requiring breakthrough solutions, the involvement of the entire political system, and especially the consensus and support of all segments of the population.

In accordance with Resolution No. 47/2024/NQ-HĐND dated December 12, 2024, of the Hanoi People's Council, which stipulates the implementation of low-emission zones in the capital city, and to carry out several urgent tasks to prevent and address environmental pollution in the urban transportation sector, the Hanoi Traffic Safety Committee requests the Department of Culture and Sports to take the lead in guiding and coordinating with relevant agencies to encourage people in the city, especially in the districts of Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, and Tay Ho, to actively switch to using green and clean vehicles and participate in public transportation.

At the same time, limiting the use of private vehicles, especially those using fossil fuels, contributes to protecting the environment of the capital city in the field of urban transportation.

The Department of Education and Training is strengthening the education of students at all levels on the meaning and importance of environmental protection; incorporating green traffic education content into the legal education on traffic order and safety in schools.

The People's Committees of Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, and Tay Ho districts: Develop plans to organize and implement propaganda and raise public awareness in actively switching to the use of green, clean, and environmentally friendly means of transportation and actively using public transportation; innovate the content and form of propaganda, dissemination, and education on environmental protection laws to be easy to understand, easy to absorb, and suitable for each area, locality, and age group;

Prioritize allocating daily time and creating weekly features on local mass media to disseminate information on legal mechanisms, policies, and enforcement activities of relevant agencies, as well as models and experiences in addressing environmental pollution both domestically and internationally. This aims to create a strong shift in awareness, consensus, and unified action throughout the political system and among the entire population regarding environmental protection, especially in the field of urban transportation.
