The Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that one of the important tasks of the sector in the 2024-2025 school year is to build and complete the project to turn Chu Van An High School and Son Tay High School into two specialized high schools in the city.

After these two schools officially become specialized schools, Hanoi will have 4 specialized high schools, including: Hanoi - Amsterdam, Nguyen Hue, Chu Van An and Son Tay.

The construction of Chu Van An and Son Tay schools into specialized high schools aims to improve the quality of training and foster talented students for the city.

At the same time, strictly follow the Circular of the Ministry of Education and Training on the operating regulations of specialized high schools, which is "not to organize non-specialized classes in specialized schools".

Chu Van An High School and Son Tay High School are currently two public schools with specialized classes. According to the enrollment plan for the 2024-2025 school year, in addition to enrollment quotas for specialized classes, these two schools will still enroll students in non-specialized classes.

Next school year, the total enrollment target for grade 10 of 4 high schools with specialized classes (Hanoi - Amsterdam, Nguyen Hue, Chu Van An and Son Tay) is 82 classes, with a total of 2,970 students. Of which, the specialized system will recruit 64 new classes with 2,240 students, the non-specialized system will recruit 14 classes with 630 students and the dual baccalaureate system will recruit 4 classes with 100 students.
