Previously, at around 6:30 a.m. on September 30, due to prolonged heavy rain, a part of the mountainside suddenly collapsed, dragging a large amount of rock, mud and water down to the residential area, completely burying the house of Mr. Vang Cha So (Ma Lau A village, Lung Cu commune).

The four missing members of Mr. So's family include: Mr. Vang Cha So (born in 1982), Ms. Hau Thi Dinh (born in 1980), Vang Xuan Hoa (born in 2003) and Vang Minh Hai (born in 2004). At the time of the incident, there were seven people in the family, but only four were at home.

Authorities took the victim out of the pile of rocks and dirt.

Immediately after receiving the news, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police and functional forces urgently deployed a search plan, despite heavy rain, steep and dangerous terrain, loose and slippery ground, and the potential risk of further landslides and flash floods.

Currently, it is still raining in Lung Cu commune, causing many difficulties for search and rescue work. The forces are continuing to make efforts to find the remaining 3 victims.
