"Super port" applies breakthrough technology, towards green logistics
Within the framework of the National Innovation Festival 2025, Vietnam SuperPort™ - the first smart logistics "super port" in the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network jointly developed by T&T Group and Asian logistics giant - YCH Group (Singapore) has impressed with a series of breakthrough technology solutions such as AI in logistics & aviation operations, automation robots, SME connection platform, towards Net Zero 2040.
General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, leaders of ministries, branches and representatives of many typical enterprises such as T&T Group, Marvell, Samsung... pressed the button to respond to the National Innovation Day 2025
Presenting to Party and Government Leaders at the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2025, Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, said that Vietnam SuperPort™ has been and will be integrating artificial intelligence (AI) application technologies that have been successfully deployed at the Supply Chain City (SCC) of YCH Group in Singapore.
In addition, the "super port" also cooperates to develop AI solutions with the world's leading technology partners to enhance cargo handling capacity and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam.
These are breakthrough innovations, focusing on four solutions: New generation artificial intelligence for aviation operations; logistics connection platform; automatic cargo handling by robots and building a roadmap according to international standards, towards the Net Zero commitment by 2040.
General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of ministries and branches visited T&T Group's exhibition booth at the event.
Specifically, for aviation operations , according to Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, the " super port " ICD Vinh Phuc is researching to apply an AI document authentication system. This is a solution that automatically extracts and verifies important information from cargo documents according to regulatory requirements; thereby helping to simplify compliance processes, minimize manual effort and significantly improve the accuracy of document authentication.
In addition, Vietnam SuperPort™ is also researching the application of AI to the cargo screening system to proactively detect and warn of prohibited and dangerous goods. The solution helps improve the accuracy and reliability of the cargo screening system, allowing real-time warnings; thereby improving process efficiency and reducing dependence on manual inspection.
For the logistics connection platform, Vietnam SuperPort™ has established a strategic partnership with Vietnam Post Logistics and financial-technology partners such as Techcombank, Visa and Doxa (Singapore) to co-develop an integrated logistics market platform, strongly supporting Vietnamese SMEs.
The platform supports SMEs to digitalize from ordering to payment, integrate real-time order tracking, simplify procedures and make processes transparent. At the same time, the platform connects with bonded warehouses, transportation and financial services, helping to improve cash flow, reduce paper dependency and enhance the ability to participate in global trade.
Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™ presents innovative solutions at the "super port" ICD Vinh Phuc – Vietnam SuperPortTM
In the field of automation, Vietnam SuperPort™ is collaborating with the Singapore Government’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and ecosystem partners to develop AI-integrated Robot solutions for Air Cargo Warehouses (OACT) to optimize cargo handling capacity; improve productivity and reduce error rates; thereby, strengthening competitive advantages. These include Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV); Robot loaders; Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR).
The Vinh Phuc ICD "super port" also commits to achieving net zero emissions by 2040, in line with global trends, increasingly stringent legal regulations and multinational customers' requirements for low-carbon logistics services. To realize this goal, Vietnam SuperPort ™ applies a rigorous carbon auditing process using Blockchain and AI technology for all operations, monitors Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and develops a specific roadmap to ensure sustainable emissions reduction progress. This is an important goal to contribute to the development of a sustainable, circular economy; thereby positioning Vietnam SuperPort™ as a pioneer in the green logistics trend in Vietnam and the region.
Strategic link in the supply chain, realizing the policy of innovation and creativity
Vietnam SuperPort™ is the first "super port" in the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network, one of the largest logistics centers in the North. This is a multimodal logistics port, covering an area of up to 83 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 300 million USD, located in the industrial "capital" of Binh Xuyen (Phu Tho province), invested and developed by T&Y SuperPort Vinh Phuc Joint Stock Company - a joint venture between T&T Group of Mr. Hien and YCH Group (Singapore).
Located on the Northern Economic Corridor, Vietnam SuperPort™ connects 20 industrial parks to major seaports and airports, including Hai Phong, Noi Bai, and extending to Yunnan and Kunming, China. Leveraging nearly 70 years of experience in logistics from YCH Group, Vietnam SuperPort™ takes advantage of connections to global supply hubs across Asia, including China, India and Southeast Asia.
Vietnam SuperPort™ is positioned as a strategic multimodal logistics hub, connecting the China-Southeast Asia freight network with global markets via road, rail, air and sea. As a key link in the ASEAN smart logistics network, Vietnam SuperPort™ is built to enhance regional integration and cross-border trade, promoting seamless, faster and smarter supply chains.
Continuing to promote AI application, T&T Group's Vietnam "super port" SuperPort™ made a strong impression at VIIE 2025
According to the World Bank Report published in 2023, Vietnam ranked 43rd in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), in the Top 5 ASEAN after Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the same position as the Philippines. Vietnam's average annual logistics growth rate is 14-16%, with a scale of 40-42 billion USD/year; making an important contribution to bringing Vietnam's total import-export turnover in 2024 to 786.29 billion USD.
According to experts, to further enhance the contribution of the logistics industry to the economy, businesses need to proactively develop a digital transformation strategy, including promoting the application of new technology solutions and artificial intelligence in practical activities. In Vietnam, this is also an issue of particular concern today. According to Decision No. 200 of the Prime Minister, one of the tasks to improve the competitiveness and development of Vietnam's logistics services by 2025 is to "research and apply new technologies, technical advances, and modern technologies in management, operation, and training on supply chains to achieve higher quality logistics services".
In particular, according to Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, logistics is one of the seven industries and fields that need to be prioritized to promote smart manufacturing.
Vietnam SuperPort™'s continued introduction of a series of modern technology solutions at VIIE 2025 reaffirms its strategic vision in digitalizing logistics to build a smart, efficient and sustainable connected ecosystem for Vietnam and the region.
