Hanoi will have a new 8-lane road

The Hanoi People's Committee has just approved the plan and location of Provincial Road 429 through Thuong Tin District. The project will be implemented in To Hieu and Nghiem Xuyen communes. The project was established by the Institute of Construction Planning and appraised by the Department of Planning and Architecture, with a route length of about 2.2km.

The starting point of the route is at the intersection with Thang Loi - To Hieu street; the end point is at the border between Thuong Tin district and Phu Xuyen district in Nghiem Xuyen commune.

The 2.2km long route with 8 lanes connects 2 districts of Hanoi.

The route consists of two sections. The one-way section is about 1.45km long from the beginning of the route to the intersection with Ngoc Hoi and Phu Xuyen streets, with a cross-section of 62m with 8 lanes, four lanes in each direction; the median is 3m wide, the internal traffic road on both sides is 2x7.5m wide with two lanes on each side of the urban road.

The two-way section is about 0.75km long from the intersection with Ngoc Hoi - Phu Xuyen road to the border of Thuong Tin district and Phu Xuyen district; it belongs to the level III plain road and has a cross-section of 21m, the roadway is 15m wide with four lanes.

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Architecture to check and confirm the project documents and the route location at a scale of 1/500 in accordance with the contents of this Decision; at the same time, assigned the People's Committee of Thuong Tin district to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Planning and Architecture and related units to organize the public announcement of the project documents approved by the City People's Committee and hand over the documents to the People's Committees of To Hieu and Nghiem Xuyen communes to manage the construction planning along both sides of the road.
