Hanoi implements heritage education program at historical sites in the area

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center and other organizing units have just signed a cooperation agreement to implement a heritage education program and extracurricular study tours for students at historical sites in the capital.

Hanoi City has the largest number of relics in the country with 5,922 famous relics (including 1 world cultural heritage, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, 20 special national relics); 1,793 intangible cultural heritages, 1,206 traditional festivals.

Hanoi is also the locality with the largest educational scale in the country with 2,874 kindergartens and schools with nearly 2.3 million students. Therefore, the task of heritage education for students at educational institutions is always considered by Hanoi as one of the key tasks in the field of education and training.
