The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 383/KH-UBND on organizing the "Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the Spring of At Ty 2025, with the goal of striving to plant more than 700,000 new trees of all kinds.
Departments, agencies, units, districts, towns and cities planted about 320,000 shade trees, timber trees and 350,000 fruit trees on urban traffic routes, headquarters of agencies, departments, sectors, parks, hospitals, schools and households.
In localities with forests and remaining forestry land, 20 to 30 hectares of new production forests will be planted; about 6,483 hectares of protective and special-use forests will be well managed and protected, contributing to ensuring the stability of the forest cover ratio of Hanoi.
In the first campaign of At Ty Spring 2025, the whole city strives to plant 120,000 - 150,000 trees of all kinds. Of which, the localities registering to plant a large number of trees are: Chuong My 75,000 trees, Soc Son 55,000 trees, Ba Vi 55,000 trees. In the sector, the Hanoi Capital Command registered to plant the most, with a total of 15,000 trees, the Department of Education and Training 2,000 trees of all kinds...
The types of trees that the Hanoi People's Committee encourages units and localities to plant a lot are: Sau, Royal Poinciana, Lagerstroemia, Camphor, Milk, Osaka, and Northwest Ban (urban trees); Green Lim, Pine, Acacia, Ladder, Black Star, De, Fat (forest planting); Grapefruit, Longan, Lychee, and Jackfruit (orchards).
Based on the tree planting plan of the Hanoi People's Committee, departments, branches and localities develop specific plans to organize the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the Spring of At Ty 2025, ensuring the set schedule.
Commune-level People's Committees propagate and mobilize each household to plant at least 1 to 2 trees of all kinds to complete the goal of planting 700,000 new trees in 2025, contributing to completing the goal of planting 1 billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025.
After implementing green planting, units and localities organize inspections, assessments, draw lessons, promptly commend and reward organizations and individuals with achievements in tree planting, afforestation, etc.
