Room for new rural communes to break through

After the merger, Dong Nai province has only 72 communes continuing to develop new rural areas, advanced rural areas, and model rural areas. Each commune has its own potential, advantages, and room for development in all areas, especially industry, logistics services, and tourism.

This is not only a premise for localities to strive to complete the construction of advanced and modern new rural areas, but also to accelerate to match people's expectations when implementing a two-level local government.

Towards the province's key industrial zones

From the clean raw material area, Dong Phu commune is the first locality in Binh Phuoc province (old) to have 3 products certified with 5-star OCOP (One Commune One Product) national level in 2023 belonging to Ha My Joint Stock Company. These are: salted roasted cashews, original cashews, white cashews. To have a 5-star OCOP product is the whole process of striving to build a brand over the past 30 years of Ha My Joint Stock Company.

Ms. Nguyen Thi My, General Director of Ha My Joint Stock Company, shared: To affirm the brand as well as the superior quality, the company's products are processed 100% from Binh Phuoc cashew nuts (old), which is known as the "cashew capital of Vietnam" and is protected by the Department of Intellectual Property ( Ministry of Science and Technology ) for geographical indications nationwide. In particular, the campus of Ha My Joint Stock Company is designed with green areas, parks and walkways, creating an environmentally friendly living and working space, ensuring sustainable development in the integration period.

Ha My cashew products are just one of many potentials and advantages to help Dong Phu commune break through. Dong Phu commune was formed on the basis of merging Tan Phu town and 2 communes Tan Tien and Tan Lap of Binh Phuoc province (old). In which, Tan Lap is one of 11 communes nationwide to pilot the completion of the construction of new rural areas since 2014 and together with Tan Tien commune (old) has reached the finish line of building advanced new rural areas.

Chairman of Dong Phu Commune People's Committee Ho Hung Phi said: From the results achieved in building new rural areas, after the merger, the locality will invest in infrastructure, readjust the planning of the commune in accordance with the regional planning to have a development orientation in the next term. Along with that, we will continue to promote the implementation of new rural and advanced new rural criteria, how to improve people's lives, improve the appearance of the commune to be more spacious and clean. In particular, we will focus on building infrastructure, especially traffic infrastructure, digital infrastructure, towards reforming administrative procedures to best serve the needs of people and businesses.

Building modern new countryside

The new Nha Bich commune was formed on the basis of merging the three communes of Nha Bich, Minh Thang and Minh Lap (old) with an area of 13,707 hectares and a population of over 22,000 people. Notably, up to now, all three communes of Minh Thang, Nha Bich and Minh Lap (old) have been recognized as meeting the advanced NTM standards with the rural appearance increasingly spacious, clean and beautiful, the material and spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved.

Vice Chairman of Nha Bich Commune People's Committee Dang Quoc Hung said: After the merger, the locality has many natural advantages and favorable geographical location that need to be identified and exploited effectively from the beginning. Notably, there is a large land fund, sparse population, flat terrain, beautiful natural landscape. In particular, Be River and Phuoc Hoa Lake have a large scale, rich ecosystem but have not yet fully exploited their potential. This is an important space to connect the space for developing neighboring urban areas, developing services and ancillary products for key economic zones.

Along with that, Nha Bich commune has a central position in the development of regional and national transport networks, connecting with key traffic routes such as: the North-South Expressway in the West, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section, the Chon Thanh - Ho Chi Minh City Expressway under construction, National Highway 13 and National Highway 14 connecting with Cambodia and the Central Highlands and Southeast regions. In addition, the Be River system and Phuoc Hoa Lake bring poetic landscapes, very favorable for the development of ecological urban areas, resorts, golf courses, high-quality tourism services associated with community health care, medical services, nursing homes and sustainable environmental services.

Currently, the investor is implementing phase 1 of the Golf Course Project combined with urban area, tourism services, and resort with a total area of 177 hectares from the land fund of Song Be Rubber Joint Stock Company. At the same time, coordinating with related units to complete legal procedures to reclaim land and hand over the site to the investor to build the Dak Nong - Chon Thanh expressway passing through the area with a length of more than 10km. After the projects are completed, they will create a breakthrough in local socio-economic development.

With this strategic location, Nha Bich commune has favorable conditions to attract investment in the fields of high-quality education, modern trade and service development, gradually forming satellite urban areas and model residential areas to serve the expanding urbanization process and the needs of industrial parks and industrial clusters in the region.

The above development potential is the premise for localities of Dong Nai province to strive to complete the construction of advanced and modern new rural areas, worthy of people's expectations when implementing a two-level local government.
