There is room for new rural communes to make breakthroughs.

Following the merger, Dong Nai province now has 72 communes continuing to implement the new rural development program, including advanced and model new rural development. Each commune has its own potential, advantages, and room for development in all fields, especially industry, logistics services, and tourism.

This not only serves as a foundation for localities to strive to complete the construction of advanced and modern new rural areas, but also enables them to accelerate progress to meet the expectations of the people when implementing a two-tiered local government system.

Targeting the province's key industrial zone.

Originating from a clean raw material source, Dong Phu commune was the first locality in the former Binh Phuoc province to have 3 products certified with 5-star national OCOP (One Commune One Product Program) in 2023, belonging to Ha My Joint Stock Company. These are: roasted salted cashews, plain cashews, and white cashew kernels. Achieving 5-star OCOP certification is the result of over 30 years of dedicated brand building efforts by Ha My Joint Stock Company.

Ms. Nguyen Thi My, General Director of Ha My Joint Stock Company, shared: To affirm the brand and superior quality, the company's products are processed 100% from cashew nuts from Binh Phuoc (formerly), known as the "cashew capital of Vietnam" and protected by the Intellectual Property Office ( Ministry of Science and Technology ) with geographical indication nationwide. In particular, the Ha My Joint Stock Company's premises are designed with green areas, parks, and walkways, creating an environmentally friendly living and working space, ensuring sustainable development in the era of integration.

The cashew nut product from Ha My is just one of many potentials and advantages that can help Dong Phu commune break through and move forward. Dong Phu commune was formed by merging Tan Phu town and two communes, Tan Tien and Tan Lap, of the former Binh Phuoc province. Tan Lap was one of 11 communes nationwide that piloted the construction of new rural areas in 2014 and, along with the former Tan Tien commune, achieved the goal of building advanced new rural areas.

Chairman of Dong Phu Commune People's Committee, Ho Hung Phi, stated: Based on the achievements in building new rural areas, after the merger, the locality will invest in infrastructure, adjust the commune's planning to align with regional planning, and provide development orientation for the next term. Along with that, we will continue to promote the implementation of new rural area criteria and advanced new rural area criteria, aiming to improve people's lives and enhance the commune's appearance, making it more spacious, clean, and beautiful. This will focus on infrastructure development, especially transportation and digital infrastructure, and moving towards administrative reform to best serve the needs of citizens and businesses.

Building a modern new rural area.

The new Nha Bich commune was formed by merging three former communes: Nha Bich, Minh Thang, and Minh Lap, covering an area of ​​13,707 hectares and with a population of over 22,000 people. Notably, all three former communes of Minh Thang, Nha Bich, and Minh Lap have now been recognized as achieving advanced new rural standards, with increasingly beautiful and clean rural landscapes, and a significant improvement in the material and spiritual lives of the people.

According to Dang Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nha Bich commune: After the merger, the locality has many natural advantages and favorable geographical locations that need to be identified and effectively exploited from the outset. Notably, it has a large land area, sparse population, flat terrain, and beautiful natural landscapes. In particular, the Be River and Phuoc Hoa Lake are large in scale and have a rich ecosystem, but their potential has not been fully exploited. This is an important area for connecting with neighboring urban development spaces, developing services and supporting products for key economic zones.

Furthermore, Nha Bich commune is centrally located in the development of regional and national transportation networks, connecting to key routes such as: the Western North-South Expressway section from Gia Nghia to Chon Thanh, the Chon Thanh - Ho Chi Minh City Expressway (currently under construction), National Highway 13 and National Highway 14 connecting to Cambodia and the Central Highlands and Southeast regions. In addition, the Be River system and Phuoc Hoa Lake provide a picturesque landscape, making it ideal for developing eco-tourism, resorts, golf courses, high-quality tourism services linked to community health care, medical services, nursing homes, and sustainable environmental services.

Currently, the investor is implementing Phase 1 of the Golf Course Project combined with an urban area, tourism services, and resort, covering a total area of ​​177 hectares using land from Song Be Rubber Joint Stock Company. Simultaneously, they are coordinating with relevant units to complete the legal procedures for land acquisition and handover to the investor for the construction of the Dak Nong - Chon Thanh expressway, which runs through the area for over 10km. Upon completion, these projects will create a breakthrough in the socio-economic development of the locality.

With its strategic location, Nha Bich commune has favorable conditions to attract investment in high-quality education, develop modern trade and services, and gradually form satellite urban areas and model residential areas to serve the expanding urbanization process and the needs of industrial parks and clusters in the region.

The aforementioned development potential serves as a foundation for localities in Dong Nai province to strive to complete the construction of advanced and modern new rural areas, living up to the expectations of the people when implementing a two-tiered local government system.
