Hanoi requires 29 establishments to immediately correct fire prevention violations

Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son has just signed an official dispatch on organizing strict implementation and thoroughly overcoming existing violations of fire prevention and fighting in high-rise buildings.

Urgently remedy existing violations of fire prevention and fighting regulations at 29 facilities (which have exceeded the commitment deadline), and at the same time proceed to remedy the remaining violations according to the schedule committed to the City Police.

Previously, from November 22, 2023 to December 16, 2023 and from March 27, 2024 to March 29, 2024, the City Police coordinated with representatives of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Ministry of Public Security to organize inspections, re-inspections, and instructions on overcoming existing problems and violations of fire prevention and fighting for 29 high-rise buildings invested by Private Construction Enterprise No. 1 of Dien Bien province and a number of units under the name of legal entities.

To ensure absolute fire safety at facilities, the City People's Committee requires Dien Bien Province's No. 1 Private Construction Enterprise, Bemes Production - Import-Export Joint Stock Company, CIENCO5 Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company, Muong Thanh Hanoi Centre Hotel - Branch of Muong Thanh Group Joint Stock Company, Branch of Muong Thanh Hanoi Hotel No. 1 Private Construction Enterprise to seriously organize the implementation of urgent contents to immediately correct existing violations of fire safety.

In case the facility still deliberately delays, does not take corrective actions, or fails to ensure the committed deadline, the state management agencies shall resolutely and strictly handle, temporarily suspend, or suspend the operation of the violating unit, item, or construction; collect and consolidate records, investigate to clarify, and handle in accordance with the provisions of law.

Immediately implement enhanced measures to ensure fire safety at facilities, focusing on regularly organizing fire safety inspections at facilities within the scope of management; strengthen propaganda about fire safety for people, management boards, and building administrators; select active factors with knowledge and skills about fire safety to build and establish fire prevention forces for buildings and floors, establish public fire fighting points, etc.

Ensure substance and effectiveness; self-organize fire fighting and rescue drills for buildings; mobilize people and support funding sources to purchase fire prevention and fighting equipment (fire extinguishers, gas masks, ladders, rescue equipment, etc.) for apartments; arrange 24/7 staff to promptly handle situations when fires and explosions occur.

During the implementation process, units must closely monitor the construction work of contractors to prevent fires and explosions at the construction site.
