Ha Tinh province grants special consideration to 157 students who achieved an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher at the provincial level for outstanding academic achievement.

157 12th-grade students in Ha Tinh were recognized as outstanding students at the provincial level in foreign languages ​​without having to take the exam of the same name, because they had IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher.

On December 6th, information from the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province indicated that the unit had just issued a decision to grant special recognition to 157 students in the 12th grade who achieved an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher as outstanding students in foreign languages ​​at the provincial level for the 2024-2025 school year.

Among the 157 students who were specially recognized as outstanding students at the provincial level this time, 14 students achieved IELTS scores of 8.0 - 8.5, equivalent to first prize; 56 students achieved IELTS scores of 7.5, equivalent to second prize; and 86 students achieved IELTS scores of 7.0, equivalent to third prize.

In addition, one student who achieved the DELF B2 French certificate was given special recognition as the first prize winner.

The students recognized as excellent students are mostly studying at Ha Tinh Specialized High School and Phan Dinh Phung High School (Ha Tinh City). The remaining students come from high schools located in the districts and towns of Ha Tinh province.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province, the special exemption for outstanding students as described above has been implemented since the 2017-2018 school year, applying to students from grades 9 to 12. For grades 10, 11, and 12, the condition for being recognized as an outstanding student in English at the provincial level is achieving an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher, while for grade 9 it is 5.5. Students in this category will be exempt from participating in the exam of the same name.
