The two most expensive overseas Vietnamese players in the Vietnam national team are ready to play against Malaysia.

(Dan Tri) - The website specializing in global player valuation, Transfermarkt, said that goalkeeper Nguyen Filip and new Vietnamese-American player Cao Pendant Quang Vinh are the most expensive players of the Vietnamese national team today.

In the most recent training session in March, the highest-valued player of the Vietnamese team was striker Pham Tuan Hai. Transfermarkt estimated the transfer value of this player at around 400,000 euros (about 11.8 billion VND).

In this training session, preparing for the match against Malaysia on June 10, Pham Tuan Hai is still on the Vietnamese team. However, Tuan Hai is no longer the most expensive player of coach Kim Sang Sik.

The two highest-valued players currently on the Vietnamese national team are both overseas Vietnamese, including goalkeeper Nguyen Filip (overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic) and left-back Cao Pendant Quang Vinh (overseas Vietnamese in France). Goalkeeper Nguyen Filip and left-back Cao Pendant Quang Vinh are also hopes for the Vietnamese team, preparing for the match against Malaysia in the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

Both are in very good form, they played very well in the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1. Goalkeeper Nguyen Filip can regain his official playing position from goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu. Meanwhile, Cao Pendant Quang Vinh is trying to compete with left-back Nguyen Van Vi in the Vietnam national team.
