Hai Duong is about to welcome showers, locally heavy rain

On April 25, Hai Duong welcomed the first showers after 8 months and there is a possibility of more showers in the next 2 days.

According to the Hai Duong Province Hydrometeorological Station, on the afternoon of May 8, the low pressure trough with an axis of about 24 - 26 degrees north latitude was compressed and pushed south by the cold air mass from the north.

Around the morning of May 10, this cold air mass will affect Hai Duong province. Due to the influence of cold air compressing the low pressure trough combined with wind convergence at an altitude of 1,500 m, from the night of May 9 to May 10, areas in the province will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. During the storm, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, the highest temperature is from 27.5 - 28.5 degrees Celsius, the lowest is from 22 - 24 degrees Celsius, the wind changes to the northeast at level 2 - 3.

During the day and night of May 10, areas in the province heavily affected by the above weather pattern include Nam Sach, Kim Thanh, Kinh Mon, Thanh Ha, Cam Giang, Binh Giang, Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Ninh Giang districts, Chi Linh city and Hai Duong city.

Showers, localized heavy rain and thunderstorms affect outdoor activities and transportation. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds are likely to cause tree falls, damage to houses, traffic works, infrastructure and aquaculture areas, affecting agricultural production.
