Held in the sea area in front of the central square, Green Island Central Bay City, "Symphony of the Green Island" is a combination of three adventurous performances including jetski, flyboard and jetsurf - with music combined with fireworks, water cannons and stage lighting effects.
Each performance is staged as a movement in a wordless symphony, recounting a journey of exploration of the ocean through speed, form and technology.
The Cat Ba version introduced jetsurf for the first time - a type of high-speed motorized skateboard that requires balance and quick handling on real ocean waves.
Together with flyboard and jetski, jetsurf creates three layers of multi-dimensional movement: from the water surface, in the air to sharp glides on the waves, contributing to the "thickness" of the shape and rhythm of the entire mix.
Jetski fireworks show with the largest lineup
The most special feature of the show in Cat Ba lies in the ambition to set two Guinness world records on the opening night.
The first record involves a group performance with jetskis and fireworks. More than 20 athletes will control jet skis moving in a synchronized formation, combined with a fireworks and lighting system to create a large moving scene on the sea surface of more than 50,000m².
According to the production crew representative, this performance is aiming for a Guinness record with the content "Jetski fireworks show with the largest formation in the world".

"Green Island Symphony" stages a jetski performance as a comprehensive work of art - with rhythm, storyline, choreography, technique, unique pyrotechnics and integrated lighting technology.
If confirmed by Guinness on opening day, this will be the first record in this category, opening a new standard for the sports and art performance industry on the sea.
Record for most flyboard somersaults in one minute
Along with the collective record, the opening night also saw athlete Tomasz Kubic - a member of the H2O team - attempt to break the individual world record in flyboard acrobatics.
In 2019, Tomasz was recognized by Guinness for 30 backflips in one minute. However, later, in late 2024, athlete Manea Al Marzooqi from the UAE increased the record to 41 backflips, becoming the current Guinness record holder.

Returning to Cat Ba this time, Tomasz set a goal of more than 42 consecutive backflips in one minute, and according to the H2O team, he is aiming to reach 43 somersaults.
If successful in field conditions - that is, on the natural sea surface, amidst currents, wind and light show - Tomasz will officially set a new world record right in Vietnam.
"Performing a show on the sea is never easy. Waves, wind, currents - all factors change every day. But it is the challenge that makes the stage special, and I would be honored if I could set a new Guinness record in Cat Ba" - Tomasz shared during a recent rehearsal.

Flyboard is a sport that requires the performer to maintain balance in mid-air while accurately calculating the thrust from the jet under their feet to create continuous upside-down loops without stopping.
Successfully executing 43 backflips is not only a physical challenge but also a test of technique and psychology. Each flip is filmed from multiple angles, tallied using a precision Guinness clock and witnessed by an independent examiner.
The show maintains a performance schedule of 5 nights per week - Photo: TL.
"Green Island Symphony" will officially debut on the evening of May 23 and maintain a performance schedule of 5 nights per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), expected to last until September 2. Each performance lasts 30 minutes, from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The show was invested by Sun Group with nearly 200 billion VND and the participation in the production of the program are all world-famous names: H2O Events - the unit producing the famous Australian water and fireworks show and LaserVision - the unit behind the Imagine show at Dubai Festival City (Dubai) or Wonder Full at Marina Bay Sands (Singapore)...
