On November 17th, Mr. Truong Quoc Hien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tien Ward, An Giang Province, stated that this year's traditional festival commemorating the 262nd anniversary of the death of Mrs. Mac Mi Co (who passed away in 1763) and the 245th anniversary of the death of Mr. Mac Thien Tich (who passed away in 1780) has attracted a large number of locals and tourists to Ha Tien.
People especially gather at Binh San Mountain to offer incense, commemorate, and express gratitude for the contributions of the founding leader Mac Cuu, Mr. Mac Thien Tich, and Mrs. Mac Mi Co (known locally as Mrs. Co Nam).

"Every year during the festival of Lady Mac Mi Co, we return to Ha Tien to offer incense and pay our respects to her. While here, my family and I also visit many famous tourist attractions such as Mui Nai beach, Thach Dong cave, Da Dung mountain, and enjoy many delicious local dishes like grilled chicken, bun ken (a type of noodle dish), bok lo hong (a type of bok choy)...", shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, a tourist from Can Tho City.
Ms. Mac Mi Co was the youngest daughter of Mr. Mac Thien Tich and Ms. Hieu Tuc Thai. Locals recounted that she was very filial to her parents and left in people's hearts the image of a kind and compassionate daughter.
Until her death, she was revered and worshipped by the people of Ha Tien and tourists from near and far, receiving incense and offerings, and becoming a spiritual tourism destination in the area.
