Thach Lac commune plans more than 56 hectares of organic rice production

On the afternoon of November 17, the People's Committee of Thach Lac commune coordinated with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company to organize a seminar to deploy contents on developing organic agricultural production and circular economy in the commune.

Thach Lac commune is one of the localities of Ha Tinh province with great potential for agricultural development. In recent times, implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation on building and developing organic and circular agricultural economy according to the Que Lam value chain, Thach Lac commune has initially achieved some positive results.

Coordination activities in technical training, model building and production area planning orientation are creating an important foundation for localities to develop agriculture in a modern and sustainable direction.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company informed about the development of organic, ecological and circular agriculture of the unit.

The People's Committee of Thach Lac commune has established a Steering Committee and a Working Group to deploy circular organic agricultural production in the area; organized delegations to visit organic production models and value chains of Que Lam Company in Hue City to learn and exchange experiences.

On that basis, the commune selected typical households to build a pilot model of organic farming and livestock raising to gradually expand in the coming time. Up to now, 10 households have been sent to be trained in organic pig raising techniques and 7 households have completed the renovation and upgrading of barns according to the process of Que Lam Group.

The Commune People's Committee also reviewed the land fund, planned organic rice production areas and organic orientation for the 2026 spring crop on an area of over 56 hectares (including 11 hectares according to Que Lam process in Nam Thang village and 45.2 hectares of organic production in Ha Thanh, Sam Loc, Quyet Tien and Vinh Thinh villages), 2 hectares of vegetables in Thuong Phu village and Bac Binh village.

In addition, the commune has surveyed and selected a location for an organic waste treatment area in Thuong Phu village with the main raw materials collected from the market and households to serve fertilizer production; and chosen to place a store to introduce and consume Que Lam products on provincial road 27.

In addition, delegates and farmers focused on discussing the favorable and difficult conditions in the process of implementing organic agricultural production and circular economy. On that basis, many opinions suggested that Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company continue to provide additional support in considering capital support for livestock households to invest in upgrading barns, breeds, feed; provide additional technical training; invest in technology... to help local models operate effectively and continue to be replicated.
