Coast Guard accompanies Ha Tinh fishermen

(Baohatinh.vn) - The Command of Coast Guard Region 1 coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee to organize many activities to accompany fishermen and students in propagating seas and islands.

On November 17, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee to organize the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" in 2025 and the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands".

In Hai Ninh ward, the Organizing Committee of the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" conducted propaganda for fishermen about protecting sovereignty over seas and islands in the new situation; about the role, potential, and strengths of seas and islands in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland; propagandizing regulations on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; and the Law on Prevention of Drug Harm to the Community.

In addition, the program's organizing committee also distributed leaflets, legal handbooks, gave national flags, life jackets and presented 40 gifts to fishermen in difficult circumstances in Hai Ninh ward.

On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 also presented gifts to two policy families in Vung Ang ward.

Within the framework of the program, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the People's Committee of Vung Ang Ward to organize the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands".

By ringing the golden bell, 100 students from Ky Thinh Secondary School and Ky Long Secondary School participated in answering multiple choice questions about law, history, geography, and Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands.

On this occasion, the program's Organizing Committee presented gifts to policy families and people in difficult circumstances in Vung Ang ward; presented souvenirs to Vung Ang ward and Ky Long Secondary School, Ky Thinh Secondary School; presented 30 bicycles and 30 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties in their studies at Ky Long Secondary School and Ky Thinh Secondary School.

The program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" and the contest "I love the sea and islands of my homeland" are a series of activities to help Ha Tinh fishermen go out to sea, demonstrating the affection and responsibility of the Vietnam Coast Guard in general, the Coast Guard Region 1 Command in particular in helping families with preferential policies, people in difficult circumstances; and students overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies.

Thereby, promoting patriotism, love for the homeland's sea and islands; raising the responsibility of the young generation for the cause of building and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
