The 1st Congress of the Grassroots Trade Union of the Trade Union Working Committee: Building a strong trade union organization

41 union officials across the province participated in the congress with the common goal: to build a strong union organization in the new period.

The Congress of the Grassroots Trade Union (GCTU) of the Trade Union Working Committee took place in the context that the Vietnam Trade Union organization is continuing to implement Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation", promoting activities towards the grassroots, caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

Currently, the Union Working Committee of the Union has 46 members, including 24 female members. The Executive Committee is always proactive in advising and making recommendations to the Party Committee and the Union at higher levels in implementing policies and plans related to cadres, union members, workers and union activities in the unit.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the situation of the country, localities and trade union organizations is forecast to have many opportunities and advantages, but also intertwined with many difficulties and challenges.

The process of national digital transformation, knowledge-based economic development and deep international integration will create new requirements for cadres, union members, workers and trade union organizations.

The policy of streamlining the apparatus, innovating the operating methods of the political system, building e-government and digital government requires the staff to improve their capacity, skills in applying information technology, digital skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to change.

Express opinions and contribute to strong and substantive union activities — *Congress scene*

To achieve the goal of being close to workers, the Provincial Federation of Labor has established 11 commune, ward and special zone trade unions including La Gi Ward, Phuoc Hoi Ward, Duc Linh Commune, Ham Kiem Commune, Ham Thang Commune, Lien Huong Commune, Phan Thiet Ward, Mui Ne, Tien Thanh, Phu Thuy and Phu Quy Special Zone Trade Unions.

Lam Dong continues to build 18 commune and ward trade unions to stay close to the grassroots, protecting workers' rights closely, quickly and promptly.
