According to the Defense Command of Area 5-Ayun Pa, since the evening of November 15, prolonged heavy rain has caused the water level of rivers and streams in the area to rise, causing localized flooding in many areas.

In particular, at Uar stream in La Jip village, 3 people working in the fields, including Mr. Vu Dinh Duyen (born in 1975) and 2 hired workers, Nguyen Duc Trong (born in 2007) and Ksor Tinh (born in 2010), all residing in Thanh Cong village, were isolated by floodwaters for many days, their food was exhausted, and they had to use corn from the fields to survive.

Faced with the dangerous situation, the Uar commune government requested the Defense Command of Area 5-Ayun Pa to support rescue forces and vehicles.

Colonel Tran The Tung, Commander of the Defense Command of Area 5 - Ayun Pa, reported to the Provincial Military Command for direction and deployed 3 cars, 1 motorboat and 12 officers to participate in the rescue. At the same time, the Military Command of Uar commune mobilized 14 more militiamen to coordinate the rescue according to the "4 on-site" motto.

At nearly 12 noon on November 17, the rescue team reached the scene and brought the first 3 citizens safely to the Uar Commune Military Command. During the search expansion, the working group discovered 10 more people isolated in the field. Early in the afternoon of the same day, 7 more people were brought to safety.

As for the remaining 3 people, according to their personal wishes, the authorities supported them with food and provisions so they could stay and look after their property and raise livestock until the water receded.

Thanks to timely direction and close coordination between the Defense Command of Area 5 - Ayun Pa and local authorities, all 10 isolated citizens were safely rescued, contributing to minimizing risks, ensuring lives and stabilizing the lives of people in flooded areas.
