At the same time, through the examination process, we also established a health monitoring system for people at the grassroots level for cases detected at high risk.
In recent times, the health education communication work at the grassroots level has always been of interest to the provincial health sector. Thanks to communication work, people are increasingly aware of improving and protecting their health, thereby contributing to repelling many diseases. In addition, the implementation of activities to provide nutritional advice for pregnant mothers and young children, expanded immunization, and reproductive health care and family planning have also gradually improved community health.
Doctor Luong Thi Huyen, Deputy Head of Quang La Commune Health Station (Ha Long City) said: Thanks to effective communication, most pregnant women in the area have been managed at the station, 100% of women give birth at medical facilities, ensuring safety for both mother and baby. Along with that, mothers have taken their children to get full vaccinations and people voluntarily go to the health station when they are sick so that doctors can examine and treat them promptly.
In order to comprehensively protect the health of the people, in the first quarter of 2025, the provincial health sector has closely followed the developments of the epidemic situation, ensuring effective disease prevention and control, especially for measles - a disease that is at risk of re-emerging in the community. Expanded immunization activities have been focused on with a full vaccination rate of 12.4%, equivalent to 13.1% of the plan, thanks to timely screening in localities. At the same time, health - population target programs continue to be implemented synchronously and effectively such as: Maternal and child health care; the elderly; HIV/AIDS prevention, non-communicable diseases; care for people with disabilities and community mental health, etc.
