Dong Thap: Many good models and effective ways to study and follow Uncle Ho's example

On May 19, the Standing Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle (referred to as Directive No. 05-CT/TW).

Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong said that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Party committees and organizations at all levels have paid attention to leading and directing the serious implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW. Through diverse and rich implementation methods with many innovations and creativity, the activities have become practical, positively affecting many aspects of social life. Localities and units have identified the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW as a regular task, gradually becoming the inherent need of cadres, Party members and the majority of people.

According to comrade Le Quoc Phong, in Dong Thap, there have been many good models, effective ways of doing things, and many examples in implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, contributing to "Embracing the good, eliminating the bad", "Using the positive to push back the negative", and strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the administration of the State. The spirit, responsibility, and attitude of serving the people of cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees are increasingly enhanced. People demonstrate a spirit of solidarity and creativity in implementing patriotic emulation movements; actively participate in social security activities; support each other in economic activities and together maintain security and order.

Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Le Quoc Phong requested Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to continue to maintain the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; promote propaganda activities, introduce and replicate good models, creative ways of doing things, good people and good deeds through diverse and rich forms, creating a spread in society; strengthen inspection and supervision work, promptly correct deviations and formalities in the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW...

According to the Standing Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, from 2016 to present, there have been many innovations in the research, dissemination and implementation of the topic of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Notably, the form of organizing the study has changed from in-person conferences to online conferences from the province to the district, commune and equivalent levels, with more than 9,000 meetings, with nearly 1.5 million participants. The whole province has more than 431 thousand cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees registered to practice and cultivate according to Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style.

After nearly 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Dong Thap has seen nearly 850 good models, effective methods, good people, good deeds in many fields: Social security, administrative reform, security and order, savings, economic development, new rural construction... demonstrated by specific, practical and meaningful actions. Outstanding are new effective models and methods such as: "Digital transformation youth house"; "Connecting love - People help people in need"; "One good deed per month"; "1,000 VND for health insurance for poor and disadvantaged students"; "Love sharing bus trip"; "Love market"; "Self-management team for border lines, border markers and border security and order"; "Love rest stop"...

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province commended and awarded Certificates of Merit to 77 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh. Typically, Mr. Huynh Van Be, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ngoc Yen Agricultural Food Production Company (Thanh Binh district) actively works to develop the economy. Every year, he allocates a portion of the company's profits of over 500 million VND to support people in difficult circumstances and poor students. As for the Charity House Building Group No. 2, An Binh Hamlet, Dinh Yen Commune, Lap Vo District, over the past 10 years, the Group has supported the construction of more than 370 houses for poor households and those in difficult circumstances with a value of nearly 8 billion VND.
