Today, May 19, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue city opened the exhibition “Cultural Heritage Space of President Ho Chi Minh in Hue” at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue city. Nearly 200 documents, images and artifacts were introduced to viewers, contributing to deepening the cultural heritage of President Ho Chi Minh in Hue.

It is an extremely valuable tangible heritage system with nearly 20 relics and relic sites; of which 4 relics are ranked by the Prime Minister as special national relics and 5 city-level relics. The exhibition also introduces intangible heritages about people in Hue such as: Rituals and traditions of the Ho family of ethnic minorities in the highlands of Hue city; Folk poetry praising President Ho Chi Minh...

In particular, at the exhibition, the public will be able to participate in the space reenacting the Ho family name naming ceremony in 1969 performed by historical witnesses and artisans in A Luoi district. Along with that, they will be able to listen to artists and artisans sing folk songs praising President Ho Chi Minh that were popular in Hue during the resistance years and still exist today.

In addition, there is also an exhibition area of ​​traditional handicrafts with the theme of President Ho Chi Minh, where, besides the talent of the artisans, there is also the love for Him. The intangible cultural heritage about Him through the process of formation and development has become an indispensable part of the intangible cultural forms in the ancient capital.

The Ceramic Art Space introduces 40 ceramic art works with the theme “Hue with Uncle Ho” created by more than 20 painters and sculptors from the Hue Fine Arts Association and Hue University of Arts in the past 2 months. Each work about him is a unique artistic perspective, sublimation in creation, along with ceramic firing techniques, glazing, coloring…

Ms. Le Thuy Chi, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City, said: Hue is honored and proud to be the place that bears the mark of 10 years where President Ho Chi Minh and his family lived, worked, studied and participated in patriotic activities in two periods (1895-1901 and 1906-1909). The history of this land also records the role of leader Ho Chi Minh in the revolutionary movement in Hue, especially his affection and care for the army and people here, as well as the affection of the people of Hue for him.

In addition to the system of relics and memorial sites associated with the childhood of President Ho Chi Minh and his family that are still being preserved, embellished and promoted, the intangible cultural heritages about him are also being researched, collected and compiled by the Museum, becoming an indispensable piece in the system of memorial heritages about him in Hue.

Thereby, contributing to spreading more spiritual values ​​about President Ho Chi Minh in the community, actively contributing to building the ideological, moral and lifestyle foundation for all classes of people today and tomorrow. On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the 130th anniversary of Uncle Ho's coming to live and study in Hue (1895-2025), localities in Hue city also organized many cultural activities to commemorate the beloved leader of the nation.

From May 17 to 19, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue City coordinated with other units to organize the Duong No Village Festival with a series of unique cultural and tourism activities. Duong No Village is the place where Uncle Ho spent his childhood. It currently has two national relics: Duong No Village Communal House and President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House; along with Ben Da and Am Ba relics. With the theme "Duong No - May Journey", on May 18, the Organizing Committee held a lotus flower procession and portrait of President Ho Chi Minh from Duong No Village Communal House to the memorial house where he used to live; an incense and flower offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh and other activities to pay tribute to and commemorate him.

Along with that, many community cultural activities were organized to serve the people and tourists on the journey back to Duong No, such as: Ca Hue performance; Bai Choi singing art; culinary space and traditional handicrafts of Duong No village; painting contest on the theme of President Ho Chi Minh; painting exhibition "Children with Uncle Ho"; experience activities of printing paintings and writing calligraphy...

The activities at the festival are a special cultural meeting point in the May journey to remember Uncle Ho, contributing to connecting the relic with the community, raising community awareness in preserving and promoting heritage values, and at the same time linking with tourism development.
