Soc Son: Awarded 100 million VND to support building houses for veterans

Veteran Pham Van Luong is 66 years old this year, fought in the war to protect the northern border, his first wife had a heart disease and had to be treated for many years, gave birth to 6 daughters and then died, so the family's conditions were very difficult. When his first wife died, veteran Pham Van Luong remarried and had 1 son, just returned from military service, currently working as a hired hand in Hanoi.

After checking, the authorities of Phu Linh commune found that the house of veteran Pham Van Luong's family was degraded and needed to be rebuilt to ensure safety, so they mobilized support sources. In particular, the Veterans Association of Soc Son district supported 50 million VND; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Linh commune supported 50 million VND from the dilapidated house removal fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Son district so that Mr. Pham Van Luong's family could have more funds to rebuild the house.

Vice President of the Veterans Association of Soc Son District Nguyen Trong Long said that although the support amount is not large, this is a meaningful gift showing the responsibility, affection, and good tradition of the cadres, members of the Veterans Association of Soc Son District and comrades and teammates towards the families of members who are really having difficulty with housing. He hopes that with this support amount and the family's savings, member Pham Van Luong will be able to build a spacious, clean house to stabilize his life, and continue to encourage his family and relatives to strictly comply with local regulations.
