It is not easy to find the right job.

As a person with a lot of recruitment experience, Deputy Head of the Administrative Organization Department ( Hanoi Services and Entertainment Joint Stock Company - HASECO) Nguyen Thi Thu Hong said: “Since the beginning of the year, we have recruited more than 60 employees, while the recruitment demand in 2025 is up to nearly 200 people. Our Ho Tay Park brand has been reputable for 25 years, so it is not too difficult to recruit human resources, but the pressure is the trend of young people liking to "jump" jobs. Ho Tay Park is in the peak season of operation, needing to recruit more than 100 targets in June and July. We have continuously accompanied the job fairs organized by the Hanoi Employment Service Center (Hanoi Department of Home Affairs) for many years to easily access a regular labor source. The advice for young people is that they must persevere with the job they choose, stick with it for at least one season. If they change jobs too often, it will be difficult for them to grasp catch, accumulate experience and have real skills".

Employers are having trouble because young people often "jump" jobs, but on the other hand, it is also difficult for workers to find the right job. Having participated in two consecutive mobile job fairs in Ba Dinh district (May 10) and Nam Tu Liem district (May 11), proactively approaching employers right at the fair and even after the fairs ended, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang - a bachelor of National Economics University, with 1 year of experience as an accountant and many additional skills, still has not found a suitable job. Mr. Hoang shared: "After meeting and going through an interview at the fair, a recruiter contacted me again and scheduled me for a second interview right at the company. The job that the company proposed to me was an asset manager and event organizer. I am still waiting for the results."

It can be seen that there are many job opportunities, but successful job matching depends on many factors. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the Hanoi Employment Service Center organized 53 job transaction sessions, including 47 daily sessions, 2 thematic sessions, 2 online sessions connecting 13 provinces and cities and 2 mobile sessions in districts, towns and cities. Although there were 1,891 units participating with 46,238 recruitment targets; 29,732 workers were consulted and provided with labor market information, only 8,805 workers were interviewed and connected to jobs. The number of workers whose applications were received and recruited at the session in the first quarter of 2025 was only 2,454 people.

Strengthening the connection between labor supply and demand

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center Vu Quang Thanh analyzed some of the reasons why consulting, providing labor market information, and connecting jobs are facing many difficulties: “The reality is that the labor force does not always meet the requirements of businesses, especially the unskilled labor force. In addition, many recruitment positions of businesses are not attractive, not diverse, and the salary paid to workers is not high, so it has not created attraction. Workers receiving unemployment insurance want to change jobs, but the difficulty in connecting jobs lies in the salary they want. On the other hand, many workers receiving unemployment insurance do not really have the need to find a job.”

Notably, job counseling for specific labor groups is still facing many difficulties due to limited connections with businesses and units that accept and recruit workers belonging to specific labor groups such as those who have completed their prison terms, have been drug addicts, or are HIV-infected, etc. In addition, most of this group of workers are not ready to work, most of them are unskilled workers, lacking work skills.

Emphasizing the goal of strengthening the connection between labor supply and demand, Mr. Vu Quang Thanh said: “Resolving difficulties and supporting job creation requires perseverance and persistence. Currently, we continue to organize daily job fairs, synchronized on the system of 15 satellite job fairs through the interactive page system on Facebook (fanpage), website, social network groups, create recruitment news and images on electronic boards about recruitment positions of businesses, create announcements on social networks... Along with that, the Center strengthens the collection of job information, job seekers to support online recruitment connections, on the basis of matching supply and demand through the labor market data system”.

One current obstacle is that the equipment and computer systems used at some satellite trading floors are old and broken, causing difficulties in applying information technology to professional activities and affecting the modernization process of the job trading floor system. Therefore, in the coming time, it is necessary to invest in upgrading and investing in equipment... at the job trading floors to suit professional activities, ensuring synchronization in management and operation between the Central trading floor at 215 Trung Kinh Street and the system of 14 satellite floors, from the online interview process, database storage, to connecting job referral and vocational training consultation.
