National Championships for Badminton, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, Pickleball for the Disabled in 2025

As part of the 2025 program of activities, in these June days, the 2025 National Championships of Badminton, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, Pickleball for the Disabled and the 2025 National Family Badminton and Table Tennis Championships will be held in Quang Nam province.

Specifically, the 2025 National Championships for Badminton, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, and Pickleball for the Disabled will take place from May 29 to June 5, 2025. Specifically, the following events: Badminton and Table Tennis will be held at the Quang Nam Provincial Sports Gymnasium; Weightlifting will be held at the Training Center of the Quang Nam Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center; Pickleball will be held at the ADB Pickleball Court, ADB Tam Ky Residential Area, Quang Nam.

Meanwhile, the 2025 National Family Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament will be held from June 21 to 29, 2025 at the Quang Nam Provincial Sports Stadium.

Badminton will compete in a total of 19 events; Table Tennis: 20 events; Weightlifting: 15 events and the new sport Pickleball will compete in 12 events.

Athletes participating in the tournament must be disabled, have a disability category according to the specific regulations of each sport, not currently banned from competing by the national or international Paralympic Committee and not be convicted or disciplined. Athletes participating in the tournament must be 15 years of age or older.

The Organizing Committee will award prizes for individual, pair, team events, and groups that achieve results at the tournament. In particular, awarding first, second, and third place flags for each event with excellent results (based on the number of Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals); awarding Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals with certificates of achievement for individual, pair, and team events when there are 3 athletes, 3 pairs, and 3 teams from 2 or more localities/units participating; awarding third place for Badminton, Table Tennis, and Pickleball events when there are 05 athletes, 05 pairs, and 05 teams from 3 or more localities/units participating.

For Weightlifting, the Organizing Committee will award gold medals and certificates of achievement for competitions with 2 athletes from 2 units registering to compete. In case there is only 1 athlete in a weight class, the ranking will be determined based on the performance of the athlete in the same weight class last year (if the medal performance is equal to or exceeds the medal, that medal will be awarded). Awarding total medals for weight classes (based on the results of the 3 lifts combined to award Gold, Silver, Bronze medals).

The tournament is organized to continue promoting the campaign "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho" for the period 2021-2030; to propagate, motivate and encourage people with disabilities to participate in physical training and sports, improve health, confidence and integrate into the community; to motivate, encourage and evaluate the sports movement for people with disabilities in localities across the country, as a basis for developing a plan to promote the sports movement for people with disabilities in the following years; through competition results to consider and select athletes with good achievements, prepare forces to participate in the 13th Southeast Asian Games for People with Disabilities in Thailand and international sports competitions for people with disabilities.

In addition, in 2025, a number of national championships in sports for people with disabilities will also take place, such as: National Championship in Athletics for People with Disabilities 2025 (from July 16 to 23) in Lam Dong; National Championship in Swimming, Chess, Archery, Judo, Boccia for People with Disabilities 2025 (from September 7 to 14) in Ho Chi Minh City; National Championship of Tennis and Wheelchair Pickeball Clubs scheduled for December 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
