Vingroup and Vinhomes stocks soar, billionaire Vuong's assets surpass 10 billion USD

(Dan Tri) - Vingroup and Vinhomes stocks both hit the ceiling, other stocks related to billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong also increased sharply.

In the stock trading session on May 20, the pair of stocks VIC and VHM related to billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong unexpectedly hit the ceiling, and were the only two stocks in the VN30 basket to reach purple.

In particular, VIC ( Vingroup ) stock hit the ceiling right from the beginning of the morning, the second consecutive session of explosion. At the end of the session, this code reached 91,500 VND/unit. Meanwhile, VHM (Vinhomes) stock increased to 62,900 VND/unit. Both codes had excess buy orders at the ceiling price, in the group leading the index's increase today.

Other stocks related to billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong such as VRE (Vincom Retail) or VPL (Vinpearl) also increased sharply, up 4.24% and 1.32% respectively.

The strong increase in stocks has positively affected the asset value of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong. According to an update from Forbes, Mr. Vuong has assets of 10.2 billion USD, ranking 277th in the list of the world's richest people.

At the end of today's trading session, VN-Index increased by 18.86 points to 1,315.15 points. Liquidity on HoSE floor reached nearly 22,935 billion VND.

In the VN30 group, SHB shares of SHB Bank recorded a large trading volume, reaching nearly 91 million units. Following were codes such as TCB (Techcombank), MBB (MBBank), reaching more than 38 million units and 31 million units, respectively.

Foreign investors net sold 577 billion VND this session, with stocks that were strongly net sold such as VHM, FPT, SHB, HCM.
