On the afternoon of May 21, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Director of Dak Nong Hydrometeorological Station, said: on May 20-21, some areas in Dak Nong had moderate, heavy to very heavy rain. The amount of rain measured at some locations reached 50.6mm.
Soil moisture models show that some areas in Dak R'lap, Dak Song, Dak Glong districts, Gia Nghia city, and Tuy Duc are nearly saturated (over 80%) or have reached saturation.
It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, these localities will continue to have rain, with accumulated rainfall of moderate to heavy rain, in some places over 30.0mm; high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams; landslides, land subsidence on steep slopes.
Specifically, Dak R'lap district includes the communes: Nhan Dao, Dak Wer, Kien Thanh, Nghia Thang, Nhan Co, Quang Tin, Dak Ru and Kien Duc town.
Tuy Duc district includes the communes: Dak Ngo, Dak R'tih, Quang Tan, Quang Truc. Gia Nghia city includes the wards: Nghia Phu, Nghia Tan, Nghia Thanh, Quang Thanh and Dak R'moan commune.
Dak Song district, Truong Xuan commune. Dak Glong district includes the communes: Dak Ha, Quang Hoa, Quang Son.

Flash floods and landslides can have very negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives; destroy civil works, and endanger production activities and people's lives.
