Deploying the 'GELEX Connect' project to access future talent

Leaders of GELEX Group and Hanoi University of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement to develop high-quality human resources.

The signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership between GELEX Group and Hanoi University of Science and Technology took place on May 19 in Hanoi. According to the agreement, the cooperation between the two sides aims to create an ecosystem connecting training-research-innovation, maximizing the capacity of future talents, contributing to the common development of the community and society.

GELEX Group and Hanoi University of Science and Technology are expected to cooperate on 6 main contents: Visiting and experiencing studying at GELEX and its member companies; internship and training cooperation programs; organizing job fairs; organizing talk shows for students; scholarship sponsorship programs and funding for research and development (R&D) activities. Based on the strengths of each party, the cooperation will contribute to meeting the demand for quality human resources for Vietnam's high-tech industry, promoting a common vision of sustainable development.

Over 3 decades of development, GELEX has undergone a comprehensive transformation from an electrical equipment manufacturing enterprise to a leading investment group in Vietnam. Continuously expanding its scale of operations and diversifying its business areas has created an urgent need for a strategy to develop high-quality, fast, and sustainable human resources. Along with that, the current technological and engineering context is developing strongly, leading to the emergence of many new business models, not only creating business opportunities but also posing new challenges in terms of human resource needs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Trung, Deputy General Director of GELEX Group affirmed that GELEX aims to become a destination for talented and quality human resources. Because talent is not only a resource, but also the driving force of all changes.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Trung: "GELEX Group has implemented a cooperation project with domestic and foreign training partners to help GELEX directly access young, talented human resources from when they are still in school through the project "GELEX Connect". In which, the cooperation with Hanoi University of Science and Technology is an activity focus of this Project".

Hanoi University of Science and Technology is the most traditional, prestigious and influential technical training institution in Vietnam. We hope that the comprehensive cooperation between the two sides will create a source of potential and quality candidates in the high-tech industry for GELEX Group, increasing the value of the Group's research and development (R&D) activities. At the same time, it will support career orientation and develop the capacity of young talents for the country."

With the mission of developing human resources, training high-quality human resources, scientific research, technological innovation and knowledge transfer, serving society and the country, Hanoi University of Science and Technology determines the focus of its development strategy for the period 2025-2030 to accompany and cooperate extensively and comprehensively with the domestic and foreign business community.

Sharing about the cooperation with GELEX Group, Associate Professor Huynh Dang Chinh, Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology affirmed: "The output of the school is high-quality human resources; at the same time, there are many contributions in terms of science, invention, and technology. Therefore, Hanoi University of Science and Technology hopes that GELEX Group will accompany and cooperate deeply, widely and sustainably."

The "GELEX Connect" project is implemented with a 10-year roadmap (2025-2035) to connect and build sustainable relationships with domestic and international training partners; serving the long-term research and development project on capacity building for GELEX Group's staff.

The project will create a comprehensive ecosystem of cooperation and exchange between GELEX and domestic and foreign training partners, helping GELEX not only access future talent, but also contribute to promoting a culture of innovation and supporting the Group's R&D work.

This project also affirms GELEX's social responsibility in training and developing human resources, creating a sustainable human resource flow, contributing to national competitiveness. GELEX believes that every young person today can become a leader of the future if given the opportunity to develop at the right time and in the right way. It is a journey to sow the seeds of knowledge, cultivate and nurture a new generation with the capacity, courage and aspiration to build Vietnam in the new era.
