The Provincial People's Committee directed the review of management and maintenance of the inland waterway signaling system.

(LĐ online) - On May 21, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a document directing relevant departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen the review of the management, maintenance and exploitation of the inland waterway signaling system in the area. Previously, the Ministry of Construction also issued a document directing and guiding localities on this issue.

Traffic police of Lam Dong province met with households living on boats, propagating waterway traffic safety to the people.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, Da Lat city and Bao Loc to urgently review, inspect and evaluate the current status of the inland waterway signaling system installed on inland waterways under its management.

The review aims to detect shortcomings and inadequacies in the management, maintenance and exploitation of the signaling system, thereby recommending and proposing the Provincial People's Committee to consider adjusting and withdrawing duplicate, unnecessary, and no longer suitable signals to ensure safety of inland waterway traffic and better serve the travel and freight transportation needs of people and businesses.
