The program "Step Up to School" awards 100 million VND in scholarships

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society said: This is the first program launched to award scholarships to students of Nguyen Trai, An Duong Vuong, and Le Loi Primary Schools in Da Lat City.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society awarded a special scholarship worth 5 million VND sponsored by the Provincial Red Cross Society to students.

The Red Cross is an organization that connects and coordinates resources from sponsors, organizations, individuals, philanthropists and the whole society to help the poor, the disadvantaged and the vulnerable in society. In particular, students from poor households, orphans, and disabled children with serious illnesses.

To help more students in especially difficult circumstances, with the attention of sponsors and benefactors, Lam Dong Red Cross Society organized the Program "Helping Children Go to School" and started the first issue today.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Anh - Director of Thang Long Da Lat Center awarded a full scholarship worth 5.5 million VND sponsored by the Center to the student.

The program awarded 42 scholarships to disadvantaged students with a total value of 100 million VND. In addition, Thang Long - Da Lat Center donated 1,115 notebooks to 5th grade students.

Sponsors awarded 20 scholarships to students at 3 primary schools: Nguyen Trai, Le Loi, An Duong Vuong, Da Lat City

The program has profound humanitarian meaning, and is actively responded and participated by all the Association's staff and sponsors, aiming to share with students in difficult circumstances in Da Lat City, helping them overcome difficulties and continue to go to school, strive to achieve high academic achievements, become good children, good students, and continue to realize their ambitions and dreams.

The Provincial Red Cross Society hopes that the spirit of "mutual love and support" of the "Helping You Go to School" scholarship program will spread widely to all units, organizations, individuals, and philanthropists... so that the program can be maintained and developed.
