According to the Southern Institute of Water Resources Research , in the past 10 days, the Ca Mau Peninsula has continuously experienced widespread rain of 30-70 mm, with some areas such as U Minh - Ca Mau, An Minh - Kien Giang having total rainfall of more than 100 mm. The peak tide in the West Sea may appear at the end of May 2025.
Specifically, from now until June 3, the tide level tends to increase during high tide and is likely to peak from May 27 to 29. This is the highest tide since February 2025.

The highest tide peak at Song Doc station is forecasted to be 0.95m, the highest tide peak at Xeo Ro station is 0.86m. Meanwhile, the tide on the East Sea side, the highest tide peak at Ganh Hao station is 2.21m, at Tran De station is 1.87m and the peak tide will appear on May 27 and 28.
Recommendation: Localities should closely coordinate with management and exploitation units to promptly develop appropriate plans to operate the Cai Lon - Cai Be ( Kien Giang ) sewer system to ensure safety.
