Donating HOU bookcase to the Provincial Center for Continuing Education and Career Guidance

On the afternoon of May 21, Hanoi Open University coordinated with the Provincial Center for Continuing Education and Career Guidance to organize a program to present HOU bookcases.

Attending the program were comrades: Tran Manh Hung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thi Nhung - Principal of Hanoi Open University; Nguyen Thuy Hue - Director of the Provincial Center for ContinuingEducation - Career Guidance; representatives of leaders of Faculties, Departments of Hanoi Open University, the Provincial Center for Continuing Education - Career Guidance.

In recent years, Hanoi Open University and the Provincial Center for Continuing Education and Vocational Guidance have cooperated to train Masters and Bachelors in part-time programs and distance learning in the following fields: Law, Business Administration, Information Technology, English, Accounting, etc. At this program, Hanoi Open University presented the Provincial Center for Continuing Education and Vocational Guidance with a HOU bookcase with a total of 771 titles and 1,269 books. Of which, there are 447 reference books, 393 textbooks, 307 literature books and 82 political books.

Through the program, Hanoi Open University hopes to help the Center for Continuing Education - Vocational Guidance of the province have more rich sources of books to meet the increasing reading needs of staff, teachers, students. From there, it helps teachers to constantly improve their qualifications, students to expand their knowledge and form the habit of reading regularly, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning in the center.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province and Hanoi Open University presented books to the Center for Continuing Education and Career Guidance of the province.

Speaking at the program, comrade Tran Manh Hung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed that Lai Chau province always pays attention to development, always transfers books to libraries, bookcases as well as organizes activities and competitions in response to the annual Book and Reading Culture Day. He acknowledged and thanked the attention of Hanoi Open University for overcoming the long journey to Lai Chau, presenting the bookcase to the Provincial Continuing Education - Career Guidance Center. This meaningful gift will contribute to bringing knowledge to readers as well as joining hands to spread the reading culture in the community, building a learning society.
