On July 15th, Quy Nhon University held a press conference to announce enrollment information and launch the project for developing human resources in the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity in Gia Lai province for the period 2025-2030.
According to the plan, Gia Lai province aims to train 7,500 engineers, bachelors, and highly qualified experts to meet the needs of high-tech industrial development in the locality and the region.

Quy Nhon University has been assigned the leading role in implementing the project and will also receive an investment of 120 billion VND for a modern semiconductor laboratory, serving advanced training and practical work.
The project includes four main training fields: Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (specializing in integrated circuit design), Engineering Physics (integrated circuit processing, packaging, and testing technology), Artificial Intelligence, and Information Technology (specializing in cybersecurity).
Students pursuing majors in semiconductor industry, AI, and cybersecurity receive tuition fee support from the province.
Specifically, through the Provincial Social Policy Bank, students can borrow funds to pay tuition fees at preferential interest rates as stipulated by the Prime Minister for students participating in bachelor's degree programs (4 years, average tuition fee of 38.3 million VND/year).
Engineering training (4.5 years, average tuition fee of 39.6 million VND/year), with a projected loan of 40 million VND/year and interest-free support for students during their training period.

In particular, students who commit to working at agencies and businesses in the province for a minimum of 3 years after graduation will have their tuition fees fully covered by the province.
Also at the press conference, Quy Nhon University provided information about a cooperation project with GEO Group (Germany) and O-Door Vietnam Co., Ltd., to build a training and human resource development center for renewable energy in Phu My Dong commune, Gia Lai province, with a total expected investment of 50 million USD, on an area of 20 hectares.
