On July 15, Quy Nhon University held a press conference to announce enrollment information and launch the project to develop human resources for the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence (AI), and network safety and security in Gia Lai province for the period 2025-2030.
According to the project, Gia Lai province aims to train 7,500 highly qualified engineers, bachelors and experts to meet the needs of high-tech industrial development in the locality and region.

Quy Nhon University was assigned the key role in implementing the project, and will also be invested in a modern semiconductor laboratory worth 120 billion VND, serving intensive training and practice.
There are 4 main training majors according to the project including Electronics - Telecommunications Engineering (major in microchip design), technical physics (microchip processing - packaging - testing technology), artificial intelligence and information technology (major in network safety - security).
Students studying majors in semiconductor industry, AI, cybersecurity and safety are supported by the province's tuition policy.
Specifically, through the Provincial Social Policy Bank, students can borrow money to pay tuition fees at preferential interest rates according to the Prime Minister 's regulations for students participating in bachelor's training programs (4 years, average tuition fee of 38.3 million VND/year).
Engineering training (4.5 years, average tuition fee 39.6 million VND/year), expected to lend 40 million VND/year and support interest-free for students during training period.

In particular, after graduation, students who commit to working at agencies and businesses in the area for a minimum of 3 years will have their tuition fees fully paid by the province.
Also at the press conference, Quy Nhon University informed about the cooperation project with GEO Group (Germany) and O-Door Vietnam Co., Ltd., to build a Center for training and developing renewable energy human resources in Phu My Dong commune, Gia Lai province with a total expected investment of 50 million USD, on an area of 20 hectares.
