Protection Department for Party and State leaders receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the Department of Protection of Party and State leaders for their outstanding and outstanding achievements in maintaining political security and social order and safety, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

On this occasion, Colonel Nguyen Quoc Hoan, Deputy Head of Department 5; Colonel Nguyen Kim Ninh, officer of Department 5, were honored to receive the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal for their outstanding and outstanding achievements in combat, combat service, training, force building, consolidating people's security, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Speaking at the ceremony, VicePresident Vo Thi Anh Xuan congratulated and commended the efforts, feats and outstanding achievements that generations of officers and soldiers of Department 5 have achieved during the 58 years of construction, fighting and growing up.

The Vice President emphasized that the work of the guards on approach duty is very special, not only a duty and responsibility, but also an affection and absolute loyalty to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation and the leader. The leader not only sees the approach cadres as soldiers but also as relatives; therefore, in addition to the requirements of political courage, revolutionary ethics, and good professional skills, the approach guard must be proactive, highly self-aware, dedicated, sacrificial, and have sincere feelings for the leader. The work of the approach guard must not only come from the mind but also from the heart and soul to truly complete the assigned tasks well.

Summarizing the situation in the world, region and the country, the Vice President emphasized that the People's Public Security Guard force and Department 5 continue to strictly follow the absolute and direct leadership in all aspects of the Party, headed by General Secretary To Lam; the centralized and unified management of the State; the leadership and direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the Guard Command and the supervision of the people. Determined to build an exemplary Party Committee of Department 5 to take the lead, well implementing Uncle Ho's Six Teachings to the People's Public Security and Uncle Ho's teachings to the Guard force.

In addition, the People's Public Security Guard force in general, and Department 5 in particular, thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on national security protection, constantly improve the capacity to research and forecast new security issues that directly impact the performance of tasks; and do a good job of strategic advisory work for the Party and State on ensuring security and safety for guard subjects in the new context.

The Vice President requested to focus on building the unit in particular, and the Guard force in general, to be truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern; to build a team of leaders, commanders, and soldiers who are absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people, have pure revolutionary ethics, strong political will, are proficient in their profession, and have international integration skills. Guards must constantly study and practice to be able to forecast situations well, make accurate judgments, handle situations quickly and effectively, and coordinate closely; maintain political will in the face of all temptations; must both uphold personal responsibility and have collective spirit, and promote the strength of the collective to complete tasks.

"Each guard needs to strive and practice four qualities: Loyalty, dedication, proficiency, and exemplary behavior to carry out their silent but extremely glorious duties," the Vice President emphasized.

The unit promotes the combined strength of the entire political system and relies on the people in security work; strengthens close and effective coordination and cooperation with forces, agencies and units in performing tasks, ensuring the principles of secrecy, strictness, caution and safety. Along with that, it is necessary to regularly review, adjust and supplement specific and practical security plans; focus on training and specialized training in security work; promote the application of scientific and technological achievements, equip advanced and modern means to serve work requirements; strengthen the exchange of international cooperation experiences in the field of security, especially with countries with advanced and modern security work.

Promoting the glorious tradition of the heroic unit, the Vice President believes that the collective of officers and soldiers of Room 5 as well as the Guard Command will always be united, united, and highly determined, continuing to make more achievements and feats in the new era of the Vietnamese nation.

Receiving the direction of the Vice President and Commander of the Guard Command, Major General Pham Thanh Hung emphasized that each officer and soldier of the Guard force must always cultivate political qualities and revolutionary ethics; determine a steadfast and firm ideological stance "only knowing that as long as the Party exists, we exist", constantly study to improve professional qualifications and skills, be ready to receive and excellently complete all assigned tasks, and absolutely protect the safety of the guarded subjects at all times, in all places, in all situations.

The People's Public Security Guard Force will continue to promote the tradition of the Heroic Unit, be absolutely loyal to the Party and the Fatherland, wholeheartedly serve the people, determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges to excellently complete assigned tasks, forever worthy of the affection and trust of the Party, State and people's leaders.

Thoroughly implementing the guidance of the Party, State and Ministry of Public Security leaders, officers and soldiers of Department 5 constantly innovate comprehensively in professional work, improve the quality of staff, closely coordinate with relevant forces to absolutely protect the safety of Party and State leaders' activities domestically as well as when on business trips abroad.

Over the years, Department 5 has grown increasingly mature and strengthened in both quality and quantity; the organizational structure has been consolidated in a centralized, specialized and unified direction. Currently, the unit focuses on implementing the major policies and tasks of the Guard Command in innovating and improving the quality of professional work, party building, and force building; maintaining discipline, order, and building the unit; in particular, effectively implementing Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW and Project 04/DA-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security, meeting the requirements and tasks of guard work in the new situation.

Proudly and confidently continuing to write feats and achievements, each officer and soldier of Room 5 constantly improves their political mettle and revolutionary vigilance, grasps and accurately forecasts the situation, absolutely protects the safety of Party and State leaders in all situations; is ready to fight and sacrifice for the cause of "protecting the Party, protecting the leader", worthy of the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, excellently completing all tasks entrusted and assigned by the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, Guard Command and people.
