Hai Duong organizes the seminar "70 years"

Former youth volunteer Cao Xuan Don - who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign shared his and his teammates' feelings when hearing the news of victory.

Attending and participating in the discussion were Colonel, Doctor Le Thanh Bai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military History Institute; Hero of the People's Armed Forces Pham Van Chat, former youth volunteer Cao Xuan Don, and veteran Nguyen Duc Tinh (all from Hai Duong).

Attending the program were comrades Nguyen Khac Toan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of relevant departments and branches, and more than 300 young people from the armed forces and students in the province.

At the same time, promote the revolutionary offensive spirit, the will to be self-reliant, determined to fight and win, the strength of solidarity and the achievements that have been achieved, take advantage of opportunities and advantages, overcome challenges to comprehensively and synchronously promote the cause of innovation; focus on socio -economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of the people; ensure national defense and security, contribute to building Hai Duong province to develop richly and sustainably.

At the seminar, guests and historical witnesses reviewed the process of participating in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, the difficulties and hardships with comrades pulling artillery, clearing unexploded bombs, etc. Each person had a different mission but they all shared the same spirit and determination of "the whole country as one, the whole people fighting the enemy". The program's guests also shared about the military art of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. At the same time, the previous generation also sent a message to the younger generation to cherish today's peace, bringing the spirit of Dien Bien Phu in the past to the country's socio-economic development and construction.

Mr. Cao Xuan Don was moved when mentioning the sacrifices of the young volunteers in his suicide squad.

On this occasion, Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union coordinated to restore and present photos to the family of martyr Tran Van Ninh, from Cam Che commune (Thanh Ha), who sacrificed his life in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
