The entrance exam for 10th grade in Hai Phong for the 2026-2027 school year will take place over three days (March 31 - June 2). This is the first exam held after the merger of provincial-level administrative units, therefore the scale of the exam has increased in terms of the number of candidates, examination boards, and staff.
This year, Hai Phong City has 61,751 candidates registered to take the entrance exam for public high schools. Of these, 58,739 candidates are taking the regular program exam, and 3,012 candidates are registering to take the exam for Tran Phu and Nguyen Trai specialized high schools.
The Hai Phong Department of Education and Training arranged 102 mass examination boards with 2,510 examination rooms and mobilized approximately 7,750 officials, teachers, and staff to participate in invigilation and marking.
At the Foreign Language exam (afternoon of May 31st), 61,268 candidates attended, with 483 absent. Of these, 123 candidates were absent due to direct admission, and 360 candidates did not take the exam.
In the Literature exam (morning of June 1st), 61,259 candidates took the exam, with 492 absent. Of these, 262 candidates were absent due to direct admission, and 230 candidates did not take the exam.
In the Mathematics exam (afternoon of June 1st), 61,251 candidates participated, with 500 absent. Of these, 289 candidates were absent due to direct admission, and 211 candidates did not take the exam.
In addition, one candidate arrived 18 minutes late at the Nguyen Du High School examination center and was therefore not allowed to take the exam according to regulations.
