Hai Phong starts construction and inaugurates a series of trillion-dong projects

On the morning of August 19, Hai Phong City simultaneously started and inaugurated 9 key projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

All projects and works were started and inaugurated in person and online at the same time. Among the 6 connection points, there were 3 main connection points in the East of Hai Phong connecting with the main connection point of the Government.

At the main bridge, Hai Phong held the inauguration ceremony of the May Chai Bridge and the approach roads on both sides of the bridge. This is a bridge with its starting point on Vu Yen Island, connecting directly to Vu Yen Park walking street and its end point intersecting with Le Thanh Tong Street (Gia Vien Ward), with a total investment of more than 2,000 billion VND.

The May Chai bridge project across the Cam River connecting Vu Yen Island has an investment capital of more than 2,000 billion VND.

At the same time, the groundbreaking ceremony of the T2 passenger terminal project - Cat Bi International Airport with a total investment of nearly 2,690 billion VND from the capital of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) took place.

The project is built on an area of about 23,200 m2, with a designed capacity of 5 million passengers/year (equivalent to 1,500 passengers/peak hour) and a planned expansion plan to increase capacity to 10 million passengers/year when needed.

Terminal T2 has a scale of 2 floors above ground, with 2 separate departure and arrival levels. The terminal is connected to the aircraft parking area by 4 passenger bridges, 2 baggage check-in islands with 28 check-in counters, 14 check-in kiosks, 2 baggage handling conveyor belts and 3 baggage return conveyor belts... meeting international standards.

The city also started the project to invest in building a resettlement area to serve the land clearance of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project in Duong Kinh ward. The scale of the project is to build synchronous technical infrastructure works for resettlement areas with a total area of 74,853.9 m2, with a total investment of nearly 284 billion VND from the city budget.

At the same time as the 3 Eastern projects mentioned above, a series of projects in the West of Hai Phong were started, including:

The National Highway 37 bypass project (section connecting Thong Nhat Bridge/National Highway 37 with Ring Road I) with a total length of 5.402 km, belonging to Group B, is implemented in Thach Khoi ward, Gia Loc commune and Gia Phuc commune with a total investment of 612.16 billion VND.

The project to build a traffic route connecting National Highway 17B with Dinh Bridge with a total route length of more than 3 km is implemented in Kinh Mon ward and Nguyen Dai Nang ward with a total investment of 248 billion VND.

Perspective of the Thai Binh River overpass project with an investment capital of nearly 1,230 billion VND.

The project to build a bridge over the Thai Binh River and the access road on the Ring Road I, from Provincial Road 391 to Provincial Road 390C, has a total length of about 2.476 km, built in Tan Hung Ward and Nam Dong Ward with a total investment of VND 1,228.24 billion.

Project to build a Martyrs Temple and cultural park in Tan Hung ward with a total investment of 200 billion VND.

Also this morning, Hai Phong City held the inauguration ceremony of 2 projects in the West. Specifically, the projects are: Hai Duong Obstetrics Hospital Phase II on Nguyen Luong Bang Street, Le Thanh Nghi Ward, with a total investment of nearly 240 billion VND; the Dong Viet Bridge approach road project connecting National Highway 37 (connecting Hai Phong - Bac Ninh) is nearly 5.3 km long, with a total investment of nearly 470 billion VND.
